Lol we're more likely to put this guy on the moon than get 20m from a Greek club for him

All I care about is that he gets PT and plays well. They won’t buy him but someone else might if he manages to score 15ish goals and 5ish assists.

Fabrizio: Göztepe SK agree loan deal with Chelsea for David Datro Fofana after AEK Athens move collapsed. It also include an option to buy and a recall clause in January. #CFC can bring the player back from January 1, 2025.

We have the lad on a 7 year contract and they have an option to buy at £20 million. What is the realistic option that they will buy him?

That specific team is unlikely but I could see a larger Turkish side having interest at that price if he plays well in the league.

Word is Nkunku wants out - not getting enough shine.

Understand where he's coming from. I'd rather keep him but if we can get what we paid for him +20 or something I might say take it. Not to a PL rival though

I can't see us getting 70+ for him. There's only a few teams who can afford that. Especially considering his injury record.

I would love to keep him. He has proven to be a scoring machine before his injury and is finally coming back.

Selling him would be another big mistake to add to our previous errors when it comes to selling talented players.

He's good, no doubt, and we're better off in theory with depth, but the 2 issues are:

    1. He's not happy playing this role. Waiting for Nico's form to drop so he can get some PL minutes is beneath him and he knows it
    2. Profile-wise, he's similar to Nico in a lot of ways. Neither of them is very physical or an aerial threat. Ideally, our backup striker would offer something different.

All that to say: he's good, and we want good players. As Nico insurance we could do a lot worse. And yeah getting an offer of 70+ in unlikely, especially in January. But I'd really consider taking it if we did

But then we'd need another striker.

He won’t make too much of a fuss for a Jan move, even if he’s internally making it clear he isn’t a fan of playing second fiddle, but it will be out there in the summer. How we finish and the chance of UCL will have a major impact.

Rumors today suggesting Mbuemo could be the guy for us to back up Jacko

    What do we think?

No thanks we don’t need more attacking players. We need a top class GK and clear out some dead wood.

    Agree.

    BUT

What if Nkunku actually does force his way out and we need a replacement for that spot? Unlikely in Jan but if he did?

I think we could do a lot worse...

Not gonna happen in Jan but even if it did… pass. We have more than enough cover with our options.

Now linked with Isak, who I think is great, but we really just don’t need right now. We can barely get minutes for Nkunku, Felix, and Sancho.

    Just cause we’re Chelsea we’re linked… don’t give it a second thought

On the other hand, seems like these links to Goku or however you spell his name might have actual legs...

We have decided to bring in a new CB in the transfer window.

He mainly operates as a defender and has been described as a "tower that clears everything head-on and almost always prevails in one-on-one situations".

I have a good feeling about him and he could be the one. He has experience. He has played over 20 professional football games. But yeah, the kid is an immense talent.

Let me ask, because we are also linked with Isak but why would Newcastle sell? They can pay him whatever he wants.

Wes Fofana is out for a long time. Badiashille out until Feb. Aaron has been 're-called' from Loan [we bought him and loaned him back]. But we might need to look into buying a top, experienced and world Class CB. Any Thoughts on who?

In January? Pass, that isn’t available and we will over pay for meh. We have enough depth at CB to keep going forward. We aren’t winning the league. Might as well see what some of these guys can do. When we have UCL the B team will face more EPL games. If that’s to risky for them then, I’d rather recall Trev. He’s proven far more than Badi or Diasi.

Well I did clarify with 'might' need a new CB. But i think we probably do need a new CB. I have heard amazing things about Aaron and he could be the future. We could also play A fit Reece James as a CB maybe? But Wes is out for the season imho - maybe his career is over. Great shame. A player with so much potential. But he has suffered 2 career defining injuries simultaneously, ACL and a Leg break. Add the fact he now has chronic hamstring issues, he's finished. Baiashille out until at least Feb. The club is not going to recall Chalboah (that might be a good idea, but that is not going to happen).

    Colwill.
    Tosin.
    Disasi.
    Achemapong - 18
Aaron Anselmino - 19 - recalled, 2nd phase of the Argentine league ended and he arrived at Cobham presumably to line up his loan move to Strasbourg.
Reece James as a CB - if he can stay fit
Romeo Lavia asa CB? - if he can stay fit

in the summer we absolutely need a new and experienced CB. IF we could get one in the jan break that would be great. What are our summer options do you think? Our owners do like to surprise everyone by spending loads of money.
