But they could have the equivalent of 3 (4?) for the price of one!

Roma looked at Samu as a potential Tammy Abraham replacement and Napoli considered him to replace Osimhen. So he is clearly well thought of in the world of Serie A. I think we may as well keep Broja as to sign this Samuel lad. IF he was any good then Ateltico would not want to be selling him maybe? But we are giving them money and they are buying Alvarez.

in what world is this a good move for Chelsea Football Club? A small fortune for a striker that is far from reaching his potential. He is a 5 million quid player. And we are looking to pay 40 million for him. seriously wtf

Are we employing some weird money laundering tricks that make sense at some level?

There is plenty of quality in our ranks, quality of players isn't the issue, changing the manager two or three times a year is the problem! We MUST give this guy TIME we MUST or else we're never going to get anywhere!

Unfortunately he won't get time so he better start fast.

So Jackson main striker, Samuel his back up, Guiu as 3rd choice.

This will surely send a chill down the spine of our relegation rivals

I am already waiting for him to get the hook. I hate possession based football

Jackson is primed to breakout this season. The manager change isn’t ideal but he’s going to impress. Hope he plays in preseason soon.

Yeah I agree Jackson is ready - but we still need another striker imho and the options we are considering are not great

I don’t think Guiu is ready but I do like a lot of what I see

He's a good 3rd choice - the season is long

He needs to play. With the moves we’ve made I hope he goes on loan.

Chelsea have agreed a £35m deal with Atletico Madrid to sign Spanish forward Samu Omorodion, and the 20-year-old is set to have a medical. According to Fab.
    Fabrizio Romano.

i just wonder why. Now we look to sell Broja. And we have bought and sold and achieved not very much. Not very much at all.

We sold a £50m quid midfield player to Atletico Madrid for £35m and then we bought a £15m striker for £35m.

Ollie Watkins might have been a possibility? he is good mates with Cole Palmer. They have an understanding on the pitch. Ollie Watkins. 28. Strong. Fast. Likes to score goals. Could we make that happen? Le Ponytail Emmanuel Petit just described Mr.Watkins as the perfect signing . . . .for Arsenal. I think Chelsea need him more, but does Ollie need us?

I guess we shall welcome Samu Omorodion, I'm sure there wasn't a single Chelsea fan that wanted him at the end of the season, but hopefully we have struck gold. It's not the lads fault and I am sure he is a nice kid and we should get behind him.

    Strange times at the club.

[Fabrizio Romano] Mike Penders to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place for 2005 born goalkeeper to join the club from Genk.

Package up to €20m add-ons included, long term deal.

Chelsea see huge potential in Penders.

He’s staying at Genk for season 24/25, heading to London next June.

Feels like someone was given an AE black card with a message attached "buy for the future"

I typically don't care what clubs spend on players. But when we dish out over 200m meanwhile, I never heard of a single one of these players..... It's gone wild.

We deserve to have a transfer ban. At least we'd be able to keep our academy. Arguably all better than what we're bringing in anyways.

Chelsea reach agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Pedro Neto. Fee €60m + €3m addons. 24yo Portugal international winger. . .

We are acknowledging the fact that we need proper wingers. Madueke has put the effort in – he may not be good enough. Sterling and Mudryck are not good enough.

Mudryk on loan would be best. Send him to Como to learn from Fab

Love the player hate the injury history. Wonder what this means for the other wingers. Sterling likely isn’t leaving. Mud would be hard as well. Hopefully they won’t sell Noni. We need to trim the squad.

Hey - it's Wet Blanket here.

Neto at Wolves for 5 years
Averaged 15 PL starts per season
145 appearances for club and country
    Missed 108 games through injury

We're overpaying again for a player who gives us half a season. We already have that in Sterling.

£51m+ bid was accepted today. Pedro Neto has been quietly targeted for some time. Chalobah and Datro Fofana has been discussed in a swap before straight cash was accepted.

IF he stays fit - he is a decent signing.

Adding some more water to the blanket:

Pop quiz, who scored more goals in the PL last season, Pedro Neto or Callum Hudson-Odoi?

We shall score goals. With Palmer and Neto on the wings we instantly turn into a very dangerous attacking side. If defenders dare try and double up on them than that just frees up Nkunku, Enzo and Jackson. Enzo can make a killer pass when needed. i really am not as pessimistic as some others.
