"Understand Conor Gallagher turned down a new three year (2+1) contract extension at Chelsea today as well as in early June. Wages offered comparable to the highest earners in Chelsea's midfield. As reported, Chelsea have agreed a package with Atletico Madrid in excess of €40m including add-ons and will support a move to Spain if that's Gallagher's preference. No terms agreed yet. Aston Villa also had a club-record bid accepted for Gallagher in June but he decided to stay. Chelsea would prefer to sell Gallagher abroad than to a Premier League rival and the Atletico offer accepted is well below the one made by Villa"

So apparently he was offered a deal with wages akin to Enzo and Caicedo, and he turned it down? Are we supposed to believe this clearlake PR?

Transfermarkt is always lower than than going rate. Especially when it’s an English club involved as they always have to pay the EPL tax coming in and under sell going out.

He was not, utter bullshit, pity the team and Doo'F's are not of the same quality as the PR machine in destroying the rep of players they push out. Mount also was never offered a contract after the World Cup with the previous offer withdrawn. Can't wait to see how Chalobah was offered a deal to be top earner at Club but he said no cause he hates the Club and is greedy.

Trev already signed a new deal. With this ownership group I believe as well. I think it was right after they took over.

He did til 2027 or 28 I think, but when he leaves, if by leave one means being thrown out of an airplane with out a parachute, as he is popular with Chelsea supporters I near guarantee there will be a media onslaught making Trev the bad guy and the owners hero/victims.

Idk man, basically everything written to date was they wanted to push him out last year in favor of their guys. He didn’t leave and then stepped up and played well. Now it’s shifted from excess player to trying to balance the books. Either way, I wouldn’t put much stock into media takes.

Let me rephrase, I wouldn’t get worked up over it. I don’t need the media to make me frustrated with our ownership group. Just seems that you’re using it as tinder to the flame.

Well I choose to get worked up and thus will do so. Conor is proper Chelsea, our 2nd best, at worst, player last season, one of the top 5-15 midfield players in Europe last season in many categories, he bleeds Blue as does his family. Yes the owners own the Club and can move who they want and choose not to give a fk about the supporters but when they are classless and try to attack and diminish the reputation of a players who has always given his all forThe Club that they have pushed out, then yes fk-em and I will rant as loudly and long as I choose.

If the kid did not love playing so much he should Bogarde this year and put the "pure profit' in his own pocket.

So moral of the story, if an academy player reaches first team play, they're getting sold for a teenager from South America who will be loaned until also sold.

Last year, I wasn't looking forward to the season much.

This year, even less so. It's hard to root for these terrible, underperforming players.

Well, hang on, he may have been offered a 2 year contract. But our other top earners are offered 7 year contracts? That is a significant difference.

A tale of wingers by age 23.

Mudryk: 144 appearances, 19 goals. 65 appearances in Ukraine, 12 goals in Ukraine. (That's 45%)
Mystery winger*: 223 appearances, 44 goals. All in the Premier League.
Anthony Gordon: 155 apps, 21 goals

    *Currently a blue.

Mudryk cost 62m pounds. I'll say it again. It's not his fault. It's Chelsea's fault for identifying him as a player worth anything more than 10m pounds. This club has bought more dead weight than Roman ever did with the likes of Asier Del Horno, Sidwell, and including Drinkwater. Mudryk is a worse buy than all of them combined.

I feel a bit sorry for Misha Mudryck. He is not as good as he was told he was. As he thought he was. He really does not seem to fit with Maresca style of football either. Misha is fast but not particularly skillful. He has no defensive capacity at all. He needs to be loaned to the Bundesliga for a year. Try and get his confidence back and get something on his CV so we can either use him or then sell him at least with a year of amortisation gone then. It is hard to believe that we paid so much money for him.

News today is Conor is banished from participating with the first team unless he accepts the Madrid offer immediately. We want you to stay and offer you a deal, so we herby banish you unless you go...er ok. Greedy Conor wants to leave so badly he refuses to go anywhere for more money and stay on 50k a week. And no unless I see a copy of an offered contract offer at top wages I call bs.

Yes I know if he is on a free next summer, and even if forcefully sidelined all season, he will make a good profit for himself rather than the billionaire clown show, and in this case I am good with that, call the clowns bluff, any short extension would just be to make a higher fee as they force him out kicking and screaming anyway

Yeah, I think the defensive aspect is often overlooked. He's not good in that area, either. That can usually be overlooked if you're contributing with goals and assists, but he isn't. His shots wind up as throw ins. it's embarrassing for him. He needs to go on loan.

Wasn't his biggest fan but he stepped up when Enzo was injured and we looked a better side. Enzo is also ********ing terrible for Chelsea. Just really bad.

This is a shitty thing they're doing to Conor. A bad example and really low in terms of a fee.

I'm so done with the clowns at the helm. Selling Conor Gallagher is the final straw. Congratulations Boehly, you have managed to lose another long time supporter of the club. I can't bear to watch this anymore. I'm out.

I can understand your frustration but let's wait until we hear the full facts, I felt the same with Mount until I found out he was demanding more money and was quite happy to jump ship to Man United at the first site of more notes. The papers are quick to 'stir up' trouble at our club if they can and it 'might' be a case of that.

Madueke ---- Maresca mentioned him in an interview the other day as someone who he hadn’t been convinced by when arriving but who has made progress. There is serious interest in Noni Madueke from Newcastle. If the offer is good, the club are willing to let him go.

Oscar Bobb from Man citeh might be the Noni replacement.

Butch Casadei will likely return to Italy.

Marc Guehi to Newcastle would mean 20% to Chelsea --- £10.4m

Selling Noni would be a mistake. He’s grown on me. Still needs to mature some but the talent is there. He’s maybe 1 more season from a proper breakout.

He's 22 and at 25 million quid he is bargain. He could be the next Mo Salah.
    But
Karim Adeyemi is reportedly unconvinced by a move to Stamford Bridge.
    The feeling may be mutual.
