Apparently he's excellent with his feet but crap at goal keeping. Call me old fashioned but I want a keeper that can dominate his box, come for crosses, and make saves. I don't care if he can't kick a ball. Get one of the full backs to take kicks if he is that bad.
[Fabrizio Romano] Chelsea are considering a move for 2005 born GK Mike Penders. Talks are ongoing with Genk as reported by @BobFaesen , nothing agreed yet but club considering move for talented GK. ↪️ It’d NOT impact Jørgensen deal, it’d be one for the future if Chelsea decide to proceed.
One for the future. Another one for the future. one game one clean sheet, our scouts are working hard! Our scouts are 'searchers' :0) [FYI - Mike Pender was one of the founding members of the merseybeat group - The Searchers]
Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has been offering the Italian international to clubs in the Premier League and now Chelsea are in talks apparently. Juventus bought Chiesa from Fiorentina for £54m two years ago but Chelsea should be able to sign him for ‘much cheaper.’ Chiesa has one year left on his contract. Juventus could let him leave for as little as £20m and the blue.co.club see him as a Sterling upgrade – plus he only wants 130k a week as opposed to the ridiculous money Raheem is on. It is a long shot, but, it is a possibility.
Sterling isn’t going anywhere. One, no one is going to match his wages outside of the Saudi league. Two, he doesn’t want to leave the EPL. Three, he’s got experience in how Enzo wants to play and will be a useful player to have help the team adjust to the new style. Four, he’s literally one of the only adults on the team. He’s not perfect but he’s got some value.
[Fabrizio Romano] Chelsea are planning to advance on Gabriel Mec deal after presenting their project to 2008 born Brazilian talent. Gremio wonderkid open to the move as Chelsea will now work on club to club agreement for Mec. ↪️ Decision on 2005 born GK Mike Penders also expected soon.
Gabriel Mec 16-year-old left winger will sign a new contract with Gremio before a move to Stamford Bridge, however, in order to ensure he does not leave on a free transfer. South American wonder kids so far. . .Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Angelo Gabriel and Estevao Willian (joining in 2025) with Ecuadorian talent Kendry Paez also joining in 2025. He will not arrive in London before 2026, as FIFA rules prohibit him from moving abroad before turning 18.
This all reminds me of corporate acquisitions. Buy a few profitable businesses to create a portfolio, add some additional investments to inflate the value and sell off in 7-8 years. Prediction: the club will be up for sale by 2028. At least a percentage of it.
Victor rumours circulating again. PSG pulled out of the race, which leaves us and a disinterested Arsenal. Napoli want the money. The loan option has already been denied by his agent apparently. So how much do they want for him, because nobody is paying his release clause.
We have leverage given Conte specifically wants only Lukaku. Napoli will likely pay maybe £30-35m for Lukaku, they will then factor that in and we could maybe get Osimhen for £60m? I think the agent fee and wages are the biggest obstacle.
Napoli won't pay more than 25 for lukaku. If anything they want him on loan due to his age. Victor seems like he cooled down from being a star striker or is it just me? Afraid he holds a premium that won't live up to the price
Sacha Tavoleri: Chelsea close to agree a deal with Genk for Mike Penders. Blues are offering more than €20m package with a percentage on the future resale. Genk now working on details to make the deal happen after getting an agreement in principle with Blues. Penders would be loaned back to Genk.
Osimhen for me has too many red flags fans are ignoring; big money signings from Serie A usually flop in the PL because of the quality of the league. Most of our deadwood [like Pulisic] is thriving in that league, and even a 37yr old Giroud scored as many league goals as Osimhen last season. He is injury prone and misses an average of 10 league goals every season. If he flops we are screwed cos we are talking of £250k/w on a 7yr contract no other team will take on. Yep, and his agent seems like a right wanker.
Loaned back for 2 years. So. How much will he be worth in the future? Is he likely to ever play for Chels? Does anybody know what the point of these kind of deals is?
It’s an investment strategy. These guys better know the books and financial rules as well as they think they do.
Tired of all this potential. With the amount of money we spent, we could have proper ballers rather then ballboys
Yeah, it just seems a little flawed. I mean are you not supposed to buy low and sell high? We buy this goalkeeper for €20m and in two years he is worth maybe €10m if we are lucky. We are Paying €20m for a player currently valued at €1m and that is wild. He has only 1 senior appearance. AND we currently have 8 first team goalkeepers on the books. Even a player like Badiashile - top CB - potential - but we paid £32.7 million for him. We are paying TOP prices and when it comes to selling there are not really too many options. The Italians never want to pay. The French cannot afford it [apart from PSG] and the Spanish rarely want to pay. Are we offloading all our future investments in Saudi Arabia? it is a flawed model and i am not the sharpest capitalist but even I can see that. Agreed. £120 million spent this summer already and what do we have to show for it? Not a lot.
Victor to Chelsea is interesting. He 'dreams' of playing in the Premiership apparently. To re-cap: Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan with an option to buy seemed like a good deal. But his agent said No way was that deal happening. PSG are out of the running. Arsenal are just pretending to be in the running. There is nobody else interested in him and who are also able to afford him. Are we going to start one of those crazy bidding wars with ourselves again? For me, Victor is just not £110 million quid player - he's worth half of that. But the loan deal with the obligation to buy if we get CL next season, seems reasonable enough. His agent is denying the loan deal option whilst Ornstein has it pinned on his twitter. Funny times. Obviously his agent won’t be wanting a loan deal as he wants a nice share of the £100m. Only he and Napoli value him at this price. Napoli need/want rid of him. Napoli want Lukaku and Oshimen wants out. We are in perfect position to drive a hard bargain and get a nice deal, but no doubt this lot will still get robbed blind.
I want no part of Victor or dealing with Napoli. He’s not worth it. Hopefully Jackson will take the next step and make this moot.
Chelsea have accepted a bid from Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher after he rejected a new Blues contract in June. He is now able to negotiate personal terms after a bid of around £33m was accepted. I'd rather he go to Spain than another premiership club - but why sell him?
He was never offered shit. Good place for Conor to go though, proper coach proper CL team. So good fortune to Conor and fk todd-et-al. I am going to start eating more veggies as I hope to outlive seeing this clown-show in charge, won't be able to quit the hooch though, given our defence and the likely sarri-lite to come.
I do not understand the way they have spent. Their innovation of those long-term contracts - right - i understand that loophole for as long as it lasted. But the rest? Even just going on the Transfermarkt "Market Value" data at time of purchase, they've overspent to the tune of €417m Euros €1.234 billion of transfer fees on 39 players with "Market Value" of €817m ... WTF
