Just why

 

Fair point. Still disappointed that we let an academy player of the season leave ahead of cucu. If we compare Maatsen and Hall, the latter's potential is much higher and offers more in attack (in pace, dribbling and crossing). He would have been a like-for-like replacement for Chilly at wingback who will get injured at some point, and then we would end up with no flying wing backs in the first eleven. Poch would then have to find different ways to provide width on the pitch.

 

The club looked at both Maatsen and Hall. Hall was going out on loan. Maatsen is a fairly decent player imho. Poch preferred him much of the pre-season. imho Maatsen is probably a more attack minded player than Hall. time will tell.

We might….We might regret letting him go.

…But over the last 20 years how many players have we really regretted getting rid of?

For me it’s Robben, Salah and KdB. Those are the only ones.

AND Lewis Hall to Jawdee land is only a loan at this point. So there is always a possibility we haven't lost him just yet.

“Basically acquitted” = hard pass. I’d take Paqueta first.

 

He wasn’t acquitted ( found not guilty) .. the charges were dropped .. completely different

Lukaku - why are you still here?

 

No Italian club is actively looking to take on Big Rom.
Lukaku is currently training with the Chelsea U21 team. He has not even spoken with Pochettino.
Chelsea will NOT be letting him go out on Loan.
After the window closes on September 1st – what then? A Saudi Club will be his only option.

 

I saw Borota play - I think he really wanted to play centre forward, he'd spend half the game outside his box

 

Can we talk about our striker strategy? is it just to accumulate as many high potential players as possible with an eye to sell them to fund other potential signings? How will these players get a route to the first team? How will they develop? Who is going to score goals for us NOW?
