Sorry for the Lyonnais on this board, but this team, me sort par les yeux.
    I can't stand their inconstancy.
They are nowhere to be found during the season and only wakes up by the end of it. This is not the way they are going to replace past teams in French football fan's hearts.
They hardly make you jump off you seats, scrapped through to the 1/8 final, have no panache, do not set the pitch on fire, are quite dull to watch at times.
When lyon starts to be more like Monaco, more pationate about what they do and show it, then i'll start to cheer for them.
Until then, i can't stand this passionless team.

Monaco deserved it A LOT MORE.

Ok, now I'm a anti-Lyon member also, but I've got the disagree.

They deserve this title because they worked for it. They could have laid down after getting thrashed by Monaco earlier this winter and dropping some 10 points behind the leaders. No, they showed some courage and got back up.

Now, is it a great champion? hell no. Monaco just blew it...

Still, 3 titles in a row is special... now, just win 7 more and we'll start discussing who's better between them and St-Etienne :D

What is the record for a team winning Ligue 1 in a row.
St Etienne and Marseille and now Lyon have won it 3 times in a row, but was it done 4 or 5 times.

Also, i don't know everybody on here so i was warning those who might be Lyonnais.

I understand that it was a good achievement to have come back in the 2nd part of the season but there's somethinhg missing in this team.
I thought of passion, stamina when it counts.
They are theteam that can beat Munich and lose 2 weeks after against the 13th of the turkish championship.
    You can't count on them.

Even though they won 3 straight title I bet you they are still not respected throughtout Europe that you can count on. They need to sign some good players because they are losing some. The only guy I heard they definately will sign is the striker from Montpellier.

You're making no sense. They won the title and like it or not is one thing but to try and take away from it is wrong. I'm sure if your club won the title, you'd be happy and a bit bothered if others were trying to taint the title. There's no asterik ot asterix here. They won it and I don't see why this is worthy of a thread. Come on. We're all bigger than such a thread.

Actually I just saw that Lyon proposed 2 million for Bamogo but Montpellier want 10 !! Way too much if you ask me. Perhaps they can agree on 5 mil in the middle. Lyon also want Pierre-Alan Frau of Sochaux and defenders Eric Abidal of Lille and Mario Yepes of Nantes. After their failure to land Pedretti the fans and Aulas himself have to make some big moves now. I was reading a Lyon forum and the fans there were pretty upset they didnt get Pedretti. Aulas must be fuming.

Aulas can always dream about Frau...

hum, his ex-agent now works for l'OM... any idea where he's going?

Lyon is better to enjoy these times, because soon the mermaids will come calling (England. Italy & Spain).
