If it came down to an either or situation who would you protect in an expansion draft, Eddie Gaven or Mike Magee?
Eddie Gaven, no question, but I have a feeling we'll protect both. Iirc, we only have to expose 4, and we can draw one back for every one that gets taken. In all honesty, I'd leave Clint exposed before those two, as they're making peanuts and he's producing peanuts at Max Salary. Also, MLS jive being what it is, we'd likely get an allocation for losing our "best" player, and maybe we could use that for the next John Spencer or whatever who might be able to produce more than 9 goals and endless arguing. Mathis' only scoring lately has been caution points.
