The 25-year-old RB Leipzig player has joined on a season-long loan at Molineux with Wolves having a £12 million option to buy. https://theathletic.com/news/wolves-complete-loan-signing-of-rb-leipzigs-hwang-hee-chan/Tt0wB2isTz2P
It's been a long time since I've been on this part of the forum. Is it really 15 years since Seol left Wolves? That makes me feel old. Welcome to Molineux, Hwang Hee-Chan.
I understand that Hwang is known as The Bull. That bodes well as the last Bull who played for Wolves scored 306 goals for us. Hopefully today's will be the first of many.
Overall talent level on Wolves might be just as good as Spurs. They got a good offensive minded coach. Hwang has done a good job of choosing the right team. Hwang is a talent. I hope he'll be given the time that he needs.
Two good finishes from Hwang to take Wolves to a 2-1 win over Newcastle. Great performance that will do a lot of good for his confidence, fan sentiment and his place in the pecking order.
Does Hwang have to go back to Germany after 1 year or does Wolves have an option to buy him in the loan contract?
Wolves have option to buy him for 12 million. Hwang's real value is something closer to 60 million. Leipzig never knew what to do with him.
Both goals were clinical. Our forwards are killing it right now i hope we can finally beat iran in their stadium.
Was a real headscratcher move going from RB --> RB which also kept his value lower (although 60m is ridiculous, lol). Didn't help that COVID + injuries kept him from doing well in Leipzig. Wolves team has been playing everyone close (were super unlucky to lose 2x to Tottenham this season) and with Jiminez back they're looking really good. Might be presumptuous to say only a couple games in but it's possible he has a better season stat-wise than SHM this year in the EPL
Hwang has more goals that Harry Kane or Son. Hwang will finish the season with more goals than Kane or Son. Leipzig would be stupid to give him up for 12 million. He will be one of the league leaders in goals and assists. Grealish went for 100 million and he's already a better player than Grealish.
I mean Leipzig can't help it at this point, seeing as there's an option for Wolves to buy for 12-13m pounds. They still make a profit in the end (and they don't really need him hence the loan/lack of playing time) which is the RB way
Should be a small profit b/c of pound/euro difference, either way not much but I'm sure they don't care much
Interesting optimism. But I highly doubt that he'll have more goals than Son. He is off to a blistering start though. No adjustment period needed.
