RB Leipzig set to sign Hwang Hee-chan from RB Salzburg

Hwang Hee-chan is on the verge of joining RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg, according to Sky Germany and reports from South Korea.

The Bundesliga side are understood to have won the race for the Korean international's signature, seeing off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Wolverhampton, with a deal worth €10 million set to be completed in the near future.

RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund recently confirmed RB Leipzig's interest in the 24-year-old, who has just one year left on his deal with the Austrian champions.

The Korean striker has made 38 appearances for RB Salzburg this season, racking up 16 goals and 21 assists.

It's amazing how much this dude has turned it around within the span of a season. It seemed like he was unanimously hated by Korean netizens and by a good portion of the users here as well reading through his player thread from last season.

Well, that was HSV being HSV, not HHC, as much as many here kept blaming him for everything at HSV for whatever reason. HSV is continuing its history without HHC unabatedly as one could witness during the last two weekends.

Agree. But he was not good there. Hamburg are fukups. Had the chance to qualify for B1 again but lost the last two games.
