There seems to be no buy option. RB either wants him to attract other German club's interest or HHC wanted to leave the club at any cost or they want him to get PT to come back next year? They seem to plan him as a wing forward btw, which could be good for the KNT, too.
How do you go from calling him the most complete FW/CF for Korea to it is good he will be used as wing forward + will be good for Korea when you have at least 4 players who are all probably ahead of him in that position (Son, Lee SW, Kwon CH when healthy & Lee JS)? edit - btw, i think it will be difficult to predict Hwang HCs playing time at HSV. he doesn't offer the classic #9 role, including height like Lassogga & Narey has started off well for HSV on the right.
At least the fee is incentive for him to be played as it goes down per appearance.
HSV fans openly acknowledge he's too good for them. https://www.transfermarkt.de/hee-chan-hwang-/thread/forum/13/thread_id/599085
2 Bundesliga is 10x better than Austrian Bundesliga. Don't mind this at all. Same goes for Jaesung Lee playing for Kiel
Would've liked to see a Korean player in EL personally though. Only 1 Korean player in all European competitions(Son) while Japan has total of 8(3 in CL and 5 in EL). We need more Koreans playing in European tournaments!
What's interesting about Heechan Hwang is that he's #1 in market value at HSV and #2 in market value in the 2 Bundesliga. I know 2 bundesliga isn't top flight, but still.
Rumors but apparently Sociedad, Nurnberg and Hannover were also interested but Salzburg wanted 15 mio. HSV also wanted to include a buy option but Salzburg refused, because they hope to sell him for big money.
Is it just me or is he getting an exceptional amount of hate by netizens? I get that he made some bonehead mistakes (a bit of an attention seeker too I suppose) but I feel like a few goals were all the difference between him and LSW trading places.
He's not that good, a decent player for a low table team but that's about it. You can't go far with his "technique", no matter how much you try.
just another lets overlook hwang heechan before he proves everyone else wrong phase. guy works hard to improve his game and now hes got personal rivals like lee seungwoo and minamino to always remain motivated
