Alright, everyone knows that Hussein has something along the lines of 8 body doubles. Occasionally you can see a slight difference between the Saddam on your television screen, and the Saddam you may have seen a while back. Sometimes the hair (face and head) doesn't look quite right, sometimes his eyes just don't seem to have the same intensity, and sometimes he looks fat. After watching way too much CNN, Fox, and every other news channel out there, myself and several friends have possibly found the key to identifying the real Saddam Hussien. Take a look at archival footage of Hussein speaking to his military advisors (usually at a long table) and not that each one is looking right at him, usually with their hands grasped together on the table. They're stare is almost unwaivering as they focus 100% on him as he speaks. Now take a look at some of the footage from recent days and notice that on more than a few occasions Saddam does not look quite like himself (possible double?), but note that as "Saddam Hussein" speaks that the men at the table with him are not focusing completely on him. Some are writing, some are looking away from him, some are looking at the table. It would seem that if this theory is correct, that the advisors do not act the same around the 'Saddam doubles' as they do around the man himself. Check it out the next time you are watching TV. See if you can spot the double. [Mods, in hindsight this might be better off in FFA, but it might generate some interesting political conversation. I leave it placement up to you.]
I've heard at least one claim that "Saddam's" ears changed shape in 1989 and that it's supposed to be an indicator that he hasn't appeared in public since then. Would be hilarious if it turned out that Iraq were being run by one or more of his doubles.
supposedly he has two distinguishable moles on his face.this is one of the ways they generally know when it is a double or not.
We got into a big discussion about this. One of the guys had heard that there's up to 19 "doubles" of Sadaam. So, what happens if he gets taken out? Do you have to get all 20 of them? Of course, this makes for more interesting discussion when not sober...
One of his son's doubles actually escaped Iraq after the First Gulf War. I read his autobiography. It was very interesting.
