Terminal 3, where most planes come in from the west, is relatively normal. I've never had much of a problem with Heathrow, it's DeGaulle that is Hell on Earth.

speak for yourself, I think it was terminal 3 that came to a complete stop on my flight over to London and then as I came in from Amsterdam, it stopped yet again.

First time was a possible incident and the return side was due to a line of storms.

What I learned from that experience is that no matter what language one speaks, everyone sounds the same when they are angered. I actually felt bad for the British airways customer support people.

Actually, it wasn't only terminal 3 affected both times as the whole airport shut off outgoing flights for the rest of those two days.

What, you don't like landing in Belgium and taking a transport back to the terminal?

BTW, Nilmar, Nihat's replacement and a reason VCF didn't absolutely need to hang on to Jozy, put up a hat trick for Brazil last night in a WCQ. Nice pick-up by VCF.

they don't look as good as last year's with the thicker black stripes but none the less, I am sure there are those that want to get the various US player's club jerseys.

Pretty tough to do much with orange and black that isn't Halloween-themed.

Nobody talkin about Jozy? He earned a couple good corners tonight but never really had much to work with. I saw him lose the ball once with his back to the goal, defender popped the ball from him, it happens. He seems to set himself up as a target man with his back to the goal but I think Hull needs to work on this aspect of his game. He recieves the ball well but seems to freeze while holding off the defender. He needs to work on some moves when he's holding the ball. Maybe come up with something new like "thaa stanky pivot!" Kidding!

Of course I could be totally off base here. Maybe he did exactly as he was asked.

Edit: Nevermind! I just noticed there was a gameday thread on the other forum. Still getting used to the BS forums. Go Jozy!

    Go Jozy!

Hard to really get in a groove when he came on as their lack of even average defense causing them to go from 1 down to 3 down just killed all team spirit if there was any.

I think they're really going to miss Michael Turner.

He did keep nice control of a ball with a deft 360 outside-of-foot pivot that froze his defender and allowed him a moment to pass off. Great to see a soft touch in a big man. Cooperesque.

Quite a turn of events -- surprised to see Folan go. That's great news for Jozy.

As for the homegrown news...well, that's an entirely different thread.

Except Jozy has a string of 4 bad games and he's in the same boat.

    Not even remotely true.

Not even remotely? :) I was just taking Brown at face value, he said the guy hadn't come close to scoring in 4 games.

gmonn, reignking was talking about Jozy. I think you're talking about Folan. Good riddance to Folan. Keep Jozy.

I'm just commenting on EPL expectations, if Brown can be taken at face value, which was that Folan had 4 bad games. Not to be too literal, but I think the fact remains that Brown and Hull could turn on Jozy very quickly.

    ...more doom and gloom.

Jozy is fine right now. The club wants to play him and he can be a big part of its plans this season. It's up to him. I have faith.

Or is it realism? I agree with your second paragraph. I also have faith in Jozy. It's not doom and gloom to point out how precarious the environment around him is.

You're missing a central fact here: Folan is complete garbage.

The manager gave him a chance to prove that he deserved to stick around. Folan proved he's a championship player, at best.

I think Folan was bad last season too, and Phil Brown wasn't basing his decision on just the 4 games this year.

    No, it is paranoia.

You sound like a Philly fan, always expecting the worst -- and that's coming from a Philly fan.

Well, so you're projecting. Actually I'm expecting the best for Jozy. But I'm trying not to be stupid about it.

I really hate this rubbishing of other players who happen to be unforunate enough to play on the same team as a YA. Folan isn't complete garbage, he just isn't Premiership starting quality even at a team like Hull. On occasion his play has suggested he may be able to bring himself up to that level, but he hasn't done it so no suprise that Hull are offloading him on a Championship team (albeit a good one who it's pretty likely will be a Premiership team next year).

From what little we've seen so far this season, with or without Folan Hull's best striker is probably JVH, with Jozy and Ghilas snapping at his heels. If Altidore can get hsi fitness up and adapt to the Premier League I can't see any proble,m with him being a starter.
