I haven’t thought of him in a long time. He was a disaster and wasn’t he the one who got busted for child porn? God awful human and footballer.

Yep, I’m also 6ft 4” (at 94kg) and the knees and lower back is definitely one to look out for now haha!

Yes, I do remember the days that he played for us, and no, Huijsen isn't that slow.

Metzelder used to turn like the Titanic. Good times.

Amazing that Dean is faster yet taller than Christoph.

Looks very slow but he compensates it by positioning

Eh gets fortunate with his go go gadget legs on some tackles. But yes, that acceleration and turning is not great. I think whomever he is paired with will be important.

Somewhat true. But we can't say he was fortunate because he's long and tall.

It's like arguing Shaq wouldn't be as good as he was if he wasn't so strong.

I guess what I’m picking up is that his long legs bail him out at the last second.

Varane who was also tall and long legged, was much batter technically for tackling and positioning.

I’m hopeful that Hujisen can continue to grow. That’s all.

Fair points. Well at least with long legs, they won't go away with age like pace and acceleration.

My guess is we'll see him get cooked by pacey La Liga wingers when isolated a few times. But thats nothing new to him because he was an EPL player

Bro I really shat on this guy in the transfer thread saying the club wasn't gonna go for him and made fun of him for "twerking" for the club in the media.

Talk about a freezing cold fuking take.

I'm happy that you chose us brickhuijsen. I eat my words.

So the Spanish centerbacks for these Nations League games are: Huijsen, Cubarsi, Le Normand, and Vivian.

Decent chance our new star boy starts against France in the semifinal on Thursday, I reckon.

    What do you guys think?

I think Mbappe will eat him alive and have the everyone wondering if it wouldn't be better to have the kid playing for an opposing team.

It's probably not fair, but it's what I expect to happen.

I think he's the type of defender who needs an enforcer next to him, someone just like Rudiger, although Spain play to his strengths so it should be interesting.

Now that he’s with RM he won’t start or play much at all.

I think he starts and Spain plays France off the park. Him and Cubarsi make for the most dominant possession centerback pairing in all of international football

Did he actually say what he said? I think my eyes are lying to me, as it's impossible he's given such compliment to Mbappe
