I always like reading the almeria forums to get a perspective of how the fans see Hugo. Interesting bit Hugo's team eats at Burger King:D

Vergara in an interview last week said Aguirre will be given Mexico's next World Cup cycle.... so unless El Vasco suffers some atrocious results and/or propaganda from the Futbol Picante clowns... he might lead Mexico's best ever Cup in 2014.

Good luck to Hugo... may he lead Real Madrid to many titles than bring Mexico's first World Cup in 2018... I could already imagine Lavolpe getting a stroke and not being ever to talk any more.

Do you care to explain why. And please offer a valid argument. Saying that Hugo could not win the Gold Cup or failed to qualify Mexico's U-23 for the Beijing Olympics is not saying much. There is more to coaching than losing a final or doing bad in a tourney.

Even if Aguirre has a bad World Cup showing I would want him to remain at the helm of the Tricolor. One bad draw or even game should be no reason to sack el Vasco. Look at what happened to Marcelo Bielsa who only lost one game and failed to advance to the WC. Even though he remained at the helm there was so much pressure on him that he quit after the Olympics; which he PWNT with a perfect record.

There is rumors that Vasco is really looking forward to coaching in the Premiership. So, I am not sure if he will want to remain in Mexico for another four years. Also, with Nestor de la Torre playing an important role in the FMF it is very likely that Chepo de la Torre will be next in line. And being that this is a Hugo thread. I do not think he will be offered the coaching spot until after the Brazil World Cup; at which point he should have equaled, or surpassed, what Aguirre did in Spain!

so far his best results are his 2 pumas titles

after that he hasnt won anything

he did a good job at keeping almeria from relegation last season but he is not doing so good this season so far.

this season he has been showing that same tactical inflexibility from his NT days and that has cost him vital points so far.

I didnt see this last game were he won but I wished I could have seen it.

but his previous games this season he has been a disaster as coach by sticking to his rigid tactics and not adapting to whats going on in the field.

Almeria is safely sitting in 11th position with a much weaker squad than last year.

    Try again.

Not too bad of a season for Hugol so far. 2 wins, 2 losses and 3 draws. With the shitty as team he has, it isn't bad at all.

Almeria lost 0 - 3 to Valencia at home.

The UD Almeria fans still not happy the team does not have an Centro Delantero and want Guilherme (LB) out of the club because according to some he is screwing up team chemistry.

The opinion on Hugo is divided still.

I am. Valencia's struggling. I thought that a home win or even a draw was in the cards.

Crusat came out injured? That does not bode well for the team. He's probably their best player.
