In a perfect world we draft Alecko and use our allocation to pick up a solid midfield distributer. Unfortunately Eski might be too good for Hudson to pass up with his #1 pick. Keep your fingers crossed!
Even though the article makes him sound like Neo in "The Matrix"*; I don't think DC would take Eski, unless he's trade-bait. At this point, the Scum could could use another proven player in their line-up, not someone to take a gamble on. *HA! Imagine Hudson as Morpheus, "Do you want to know what is the Scum?"
Speaking as a United fan, if I may, I hope you are right. I've seen enough crosses go over the head of a so-called forward. We have plenty of slow midfielders, too. DC should take him and then deal with somebody who hasn't missed the playoffs for 3 years in a row and can afford to wait and see if he does develop.

Hudson and "Eski" know each other from their playing days, so it's not inconceivable that a phone call was made "requesting" that DC not draft him. Wouldn't blame Hudson....hard to draft a guy whose heart is somewhere else.
