    Hudson: "Eski's dad probably would love to have him play in his own backyard at Giants Stadium. That's probably where he belongs, to be quite honest. It's a great story, but at this point I just don't know if I'm going to be the one to tear up that script. We'll see."

    I really, really, don't see that happening. He is the coach of the scum, after all.

    In a perfect world we draft Alecko and use our allocation to pick up a solid midfield distributer. Unfortunately Eski might be too good for Hudson to pass up with his #1 pick. Keep your fingers crossed!

    Even though the article makes him sound like Neo in "The Matrix"*; I don't think DC would take Eski, unless he's trade-bait. At this point, the Scum could could use another proven player in their line-up, not someone to take a gamble on.

    *HA! Imagine Hudson as Morpheus, "Do you want to know what is the Scum?"

    Speaking as a United fan, if I may, I hope you are right. I've seen enough crosses go over the head of a so-called forward. We have plenty of slow midfielders, too. DC should take him and then deal with somebody who hasn't missed the playoffs for 3 years in a row and can afford to wait and see if he does develop.

    Hudson has also recently more or less implied that he's going to take Eski with the first draft pick.

    The hype is growing like mushrooms in Wonderland. Ray will pick him, then offer him straight up for Cletus. Sounds outrageous? it IS outrageous. That's what's got me worried.

    <on soapbox>

    Don't flame the MetroFans on their board. We don't like it when they come flame us on ours.

    This is a topic of mutual concern to both teams. I'm here for information. I'm sure the MetroFans are too. So let's keep things civil.

    Thanks,

    <off soapbox>

    What is the AC?

    Does AC stand for Alternate Cup or Allocation Cup? A competition between the two teams that don't make the playoffs?

    I bet the Burn could win that one! There doesn't seem much use in them going to the playoffs since they lose in the first round every year.

    Who will you guys trade to Dallas for Rodriguez?

    Hudson and "Eski" know each other from their playing days, so it's not inconceivable that a phone call was made "requesting" that DC not draft him.

    Wouldn't blame Hudson....hard to draft a guy whose heart is somewhere else.

    Just because the team did not perform well does not void the efforts of certain individuals.
