Pretty funny column by Andy Gustafson about Hudson dealing with the new dress code for coaches... http://onthesidelines.org/beingme090903.htm
You know what? I could actually picture that episode. I can see the five guys walking into the locker room with Ray, as our team looks on with the expression of slack jawed yokles. That cracks me up!
You know that is is nice to see that the MLS front office has it's priorities straight. "What a coach not in a suit and tie? We can't have that! What is that you say a game with 5 caution cards again from Kevin Stott? Including two red cards. No worries it sounds like he had the game under control. What was Hudson wearing though? That is what is most important for the league's image. Shorts and a jersey. No, no, no. We can't have a coach looking like a player, it just won't do. No, really we are qualified to be fashion police. Remember all those cool jersey designs we had around here the first couple of seasons. We should go back to those as well." It scares me some days to think that we have Gilligan running this league.
So, is that why Marco Etcheverry wasn't wearing white boots for Saturday's game? I looked at the website for Bravo (Queer Eye's network), www.bravotv.com, and they have a section where straight guys can enter/be entered to appear on the show. Unfortunately, entrants have to live in the NY metro area, although DC United will be playing several games up there soon...
If Ray's best threads are from the 70's, maybe he should drag out his Leisure Suit, ruffled shirt, & platform shoes!
