    OLE OLE OLE OLE
It's a good thing Stoichkov came to this team. Now he can really turn the team around for good. D.C United can NOW become champions, since Stoichkov, the best player there is in their team.
    BULGARI UNACI!!!

I mean no offense by this because you're new on these boards ...

But why is it that every couple weeks someone affiliated with Bulgaria has to come onto this board to inform us about Hristo Stoitchkov? We know who he is. We also know he's old and will spend most of his time on the bench acting more as coach than player. At his age he's hardly the best player on the team.

We have a great back line now, I hope he can contribute either as a player or a coach. If not, later dude!

I'll never forget that Stoichkov goal off the freekick at the second home game of the 2000 season.

    Wow!

Its all about pride...If someone is on DC from your country, if he is old, young, great, bad it makes you feel great. If you love DC United already 100% and someone from your country plays for them it makes your passion for DC like double..Did I mention that Eskandarian is ARMENIAN??haha

His dad was an Iranian citizen of Armenian descent who moved to the US.

He considers himself more Armenian than Iranian.

Kind of like this guy I used to work with who was born and raised in Lebanon. Even though he is Lebanese, he is of Kurdish descent, and considers himself a Kurd.

Well add me to the list of of hirsto admirers.
To say he is the best player on United is true.
At his age he is still the best player, hands down. One gets tired of sorry players being touted as great. Hirsto is a proven comodity. He is a pure pedigrey. Noone I mean noone in the MLS comes close. He needs to avoid injury to bring great pleasure to his fans!!!!!!
    cheers

I'm pretty sure that I would take Earnie Stewart over Hristo.

Hristo's gettin' old man. I know he is still a great player but at his age he has to have lost a step. Earnie is our best player.

David Hayes is better than Stoitchkov.

i actually think that your best player is Nick Rimando, because if you had any other keeper between the pipes, besides tim howard, you guys would've had ALOT less points, still would've been last place, blame last year on your offense, there was none because of injuries. but now you guys got most of the league worried/excited to see you play.

i can't believe people can say Stoichkov is the best player in the league, he would've been a decade ago. He's still good and all, but no where near the best, you want the best, get Twellman, or Chung, those are players.

People, what is this bitching about? What does it matter if he's the best player on our team or not? He's on our team and he's got the right attitude to make us better. Do you think he cares if he's considered the best player on the team? Hell no. He wants to win and he wants to help guys like bobby and alecko become badasses. And if he didn't, Hudson never would have taken him. Now just drop this 'best' bs and start thinking about the good of the team and not petty squabbles.

I don't think people in the U.S. really want war, I just think that many of us think it is necessary!
