Howard starts and Landon is in the crowd 0-0 in the 24th minute.

BTW Tim Cahill seems to be playing left wing today, so maybe that's where they need Landon most?

Both teams struggling to score this season. Ugly match.

Definitely not a classic, but Everton look more likely to score, barely.

    0-0 HT

You could probably count on one hand the number of times Howard touched the ball

    Hmmm, is Cahill concussed?

Everyone in this game is playing as if they have a concussion or new year's hangover...

Anichebe scrambled home the opener in the 87th minute and Everton are now trying to hang on for the crucial away win.

Although the game was ugly, the 3 points are beautiful for Everton, who are suddenly back in the top half of the table with a game in hand. Despite the win, they seem desperate for someone like LD, based on today's game.

Sounds like perfect timing. Great to see Everton finally safely in the middle of the pack.

Did Howard have to do anything of note in the game. Sounds like my 90 minutes were better spent doing absolutely anything else... :)

Not really, West Brom barely mounted an attack.

T-How has barely had to make a save all season a few games apart (when he has made some great, great saves). One of the best defensive records in the league.
