And Gasol, of course, goes... nowhere. The Lakers didn't have to trade Pau to get this done. Not even for Glen Davis and Hedo Turkoglu's shit deals. The point of the lockout was the owners didn't want to give the players as big a share of the cake as they wanted. That's it. There was never any talk about banning player trading.
