Sink or Swim? CONFED CUP 2003
The Europeans will give a standing ovation for how far we have come if this group can play.

Will they work for each other?(yes) Will they maintain this defensive "shape" when tired & when the opponents are running them dangerously ragged?? Very good experienced field players in the back and midfield.

The best attacking American talent in the four(4) front players. Each, by their play, demanding to be on the field. Placed where they can contribute defensively and inspire us offensively!!!

These midfielders, forwards and Howard, the goal keeper, have earned their right not to be on denied from the eleven.

Sink or swim boys? The bench/reserve players are there to back you up! So try your best.

Eddie Pope came out of the Metro-Crew match with a sprained knee. Let's see if it's a quick recovery or a nag.

I don't see Europeans giving us a standing ovation for anything other than an early departure. The fans that show up to see us play Turkey and Cameroon will be screaming for jihad and American blood.

This isn't your father's France anymore, not when it comes to football.

I don't like the shape of this tournement; I wish we could have stayed home and just prepared for the Gold Cup.

Flame away. I'm fire proof on this, call me what you will.

    JESUS CHRIST!

I'm not a mod of this forum, but could people please take two minutes to look around the forums before they post nonsense? There are a handful of threads that discuss the Confed Cup roster as well as the possible lineups the US could use. If everyone that made an individual post would post in there we would have one, very intellectual discussion about this topic. As opposed to 10 mini discussions that all die because people dont want to post in 10 different threads on the same topic.

    Wheew....I feel better. :)
