That's nauseating. And enough to get me to move to the West Coast so I can see the 10 am games first thing on Saturday.
Gerrard hit the inside of Tim's post - Everton have been a little lucky as one of their defenders handled the ball in the box but no penalty given. Liverpool must be outshooting Everton like 20-5
Liverpool are probably down to 10 men now - theyve made all of their subs and it looks like Riise just broke his ankle. Gross looking on the replays.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/e/everton/live_text/default.stm I'm confused. There's no mention of the Riise injury on the BBC. Of course, I'm not watching the game.
Not to jinx anything, but this is a huge win for Everton. Can Everton be this year's Blackburn? They have the talent I think.
It looked like he broke it - he went in on a challenge on an Everton player (Cahill, Arteta?) and he was late. He even got a yellow card as he was stretchered off.
3-0 I have no idea what Reina just did...he popped it up, try to knock it over his bar, hit the ball off his own crossbar, and the ball landed on Andy Johnsons head and went in. That was a horrible horrible blunder by Reina....wow, Everton 3-0 Final whistle blows. Game over...clean sheet for Timmy.
From the Eurosport commentary, it looks like Howard has made a couple of terrific saves, though Liverpool has hit the post and gone just wide a couple of times. They list 22 (!!) shots for Liverpool to Everton's five. Four saves for Howard. 74' OFF THE POST! Gerrard is put in by a lovely Hyypia ball, but sees his effort cannon off the base of the post, with Howard beaten all ends up! Kuyt slides in for the rebound! Off the hand of Hibbert! No! The ref waves play on! 70' Kuyt now with a chance! He takes down a long ball with a great first touch before firing a shot off! Palmed away this time by Howard and the chance goes begging! 16' Fowler dummies and Garcia is in! He fires goalwards! Saved by Howard low to his right! http://www.eurosport.com/football/premiership/2006-2007/livefullpage_mtc145302.shtml
Thanks for the pbp BCAB. Many things to ponder here. The extent of Riise's injury is critical for Liverpool. What's Everton's biggest win over Liverpool in the prem? How did Timmy do?
Here's a highlight pass from Finnan to Aurellio - pretty much sums up the day. I'll see if I can find a gif of the 3rd goal, some of the worst keeping I have ever seen. Its great to see Timmy on the big stage again, instead of playing in crappy reserve games.
From the article FCT linked: http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/...ward-can-rise-to-the-challenge-name_page.html But Timmay remains unfazed and keeps working on his save percentage.
Seems like Tim learned a lot during his one season aprenticship under Vandarsar (I know I probably butchered the spelling).
You should be able to watch the Setanta replay at 7pm ET here: mms://205.188.221.18//D/1729/21686/v0001/reflector:52288
