Half an hour gone and Fulham are flying forward again. Butt gives up a FK 25 yards out.

Malbranque free kick turned around the post by Howard.

Inamoto waiting on the touch line to sub for Pembridge.

36' Giggs cross to RVN on the near post kicked out by Van Der Saar. Giggs shoots wide of an empty goal from an acute angle.

As much as we complain about gridiron stripes on MLS pitches, it's worthy of note that Old Trafford has rugby lines on it today.

There's a whole lot less rugby lines than American football lines, though.

42' Mike Riley dressing down Djemba^2 and Inamoto for some shirt tugging and pushing. Yellow cards to each.

RVN feeds Giggs whose wonderful backheel pass springs Forlan in PA.

Fulham have to feel harshly done by. They've controlled this game from the start but now they're headed to halftime level.

    Halftime.

seriously. How is a guy like Diego Forlan still playing at Manchester United? I means don't get me wrong I think he's got a boatload of talent and he is a good baller. I just don't think he is ManUnited quality. ManU would be better off with some odf the Costa Rican forwards.

to be fair he hardly played since january.

He did ok last season and therefore prob wasnt let go but while they are short on strikers im sure they wouldnt let forlan go except if they 2 top quality already lined up

I think he almost has a goal per start for them

RVN received the ball with his back to the goal, 40 yards out touchline right. He turned with the ball to the inside, Passed to giggs who is 35 yards out, Giggs used the outside of his foot to curl a ball into the right side of the 18 yard box where Forlan crushes it into the opposite side netting.

there was a thread on man utd forum about forlan being the worst finisher of all times, i really dont think he is. he is def not the greatest but he is not the worst. and it all depends upon the playing time, very rare start for him today, and he has scored a goal. good for him.

49' Riley consults with the 4th official and then gives Fortune a yellow card. He must have entered the field without checking in at halftime. Curious.

Not a quality half by MU. I just don't see the dominance that I am used to seeing from them. G Neville is horrible today, Silvestre gives Fulham a goal. Ronaldo is not a impact player(at 18 Who is?), Nick butt isn't fit to wash Roy Keanes boots.
