Ends 0-0. Timmy didn't have much to do. Should have been 3-0 Everton based on how often the ball was near Spurs goal.

Or could be a drab 0-0 draw. Take your pick.

I watched the last 70 minutes of this one on FSC. Timmy made every save he needed to, but in all fairness didn't have a lot to do. Everton threatened Tottenham's goal much more than the contrary, and most of the Toffees most dangerous scoring opportunities came through Mikel Arteta or Manny Fernandes feeding Andy Johnson.

It's clear to me that Everton is missing Tim Cahill and Yakubu, though Andy Johnson's workrate was impressive today. They do seem to be getting by in defense just fine without Joseph Yobo, though, who is one of the most underrated center backs in the Prem, in my opinion.

As for Tottenham, little creativity in the midfield today. Aaron Lennon made some marauding runs down the flank, but with little end product, and Tottenham's strikers (the usually dangerous Berbatov & Keane) were denied service for most of the match. Jermaine Jenas is usually the creative force in central midfield for Spurs, but he didn't do much to spur the attack today, and Kevin Prince-Boateng (who was subbed on in the 2nd half) simply isn't as good a defensive midfielder as Didier Zokora or Tom Huddlestone, in my book. Huddlestone partnered with new signing Jonathan Woodgate in defense by the way, and the two were solid for most of the match.

Overall, not a real exciting match, but it was much easier to watch than the Bolton 0-0 Fulham match from the day before...that one was b-o-r-i-n-g.
