Everton playing with very high pressure, strangling the match. They can be caught out by some quick passing along the wings though.

Landon is playing super deep and is practically tethered to Neville. I think by design. But it's taken him out of the attacking picture a bit.

 

LD has been very solid against the likes of Cole and Mata. Shutting down attacks. Very smart positioning and releasing to relieve pressure.

LD who has moved over to the left gets shoved/shoulder barged by Ivanovic well after the ball had gone out, out of frustration over a challenge just earlier. Ref gives Ivanovic a talking to and the commentator says that Ivanovic is very lucky that Donovan didn't make a meal of that and go down because he could have been in serious trouble at that point.

 

Can it be said that Donovan owns Ashley Cole?

Donovan consistently gets the better of him both when he has the ball and when Ashley has the ball. Its to the point that Ashley bails out of crosses when Donovan bears down on him.
