Maybe you have to be a woman to appreciate it. The last season wasn't great, but I love the show. The first 2 seasons were excellent.
At the risk of having my Male Card revoked, I agree. It was a well written show at first and all the girl-sex talk was pretty fresh at the time. But then, characters started to get one dimensional and plot lines got weaker by the season. Miranda having a baby was a sign that the show had officially gone down the shitter.
i laugh at those 30-something single women who think that show is gospel. "it's not my fault i can't get a boyfriend, all the men i meet aren't worthy of me." of course, they fail to realize that the one constant in their long line of failed relationships is themselves.
Good one chachi. I never saw what the big deal about the show was, either. Of course, I always thought Sarah Jessica Parker was rather equine-looking, too, so what do I know.
I think the appeal is that she wears clothes very well, but the wardrobe department hasn't been doing her any favors for the last couple of seasons. You can almost trace the show's decline by how progressively hideous SJP's outfits have gotten. Kristin Davis ("the dark haired girl") seems to be the only one that wardrobe doesn't hate. As for the fashionista lemmings, they'll go back to masturbating to "In Style" and "Vogue" like they did before Sex and the City.
The show made me laugh but SJP's clothes are even funnier. Who would wear such silly looking clothes?
