Kjær has been injured and is not really match fit, which has shown to some extend in the two first games, so it will probably be an improvement that it is Per Krøldrup taking his place... Krøldrup is more experienced and also a regular starter in the Italian Serie A, so he should do just fine.

Either way you look at it, it'll be Kroldrup's debut Fifa world cup game. And a must win. He may be good but there's a reason almost every team was cautious in matchday 1. Rather than go and win aim was to not completely f**k it up first time out on the park and Kroldrup'll probably be feeling the same thing on thursday.

So final standings, in essence the answer to "How will E play out?":

    Holland : 3-0-0 : 9pts
    Japan : 2-0-1 : 6pts
    Denmark :1-0-2 : 3pts
    Cameroon:0-0-3 : 0pts

Glorious way to put people like Olsen "I just can't see us losing", and Bendtner "No reason why we shouldn't win" in their place. I'm sorry but I just hate Bendtner he's such a moron.

At the end of the day, the 2 best teams progressed. Great respect for denmark they qualified as the 3rd seeds in an incredibly tough european group, good luck Euro2012. Can't help that this was an opportunity missed for Cameroon a little. On paper they had an outstanding side this world cup, but were tactically beaten 3 times.

Good luck Netherlands, hope when Robben comes back they start destroying teams once again.

Oh, should be said. Foundation of the Japanese team was the J.League. Remember this next time any of you consider a team without a lot of foreign players, particularly japan.
