:d Hello Every One You Must Know I´m So Interested About How Is Playing Sergio GalvÁn, But I Can Follow All The Matchs Of Metrostars Because I'm In Colombia And I Just Have Espn2 In Order To See The Games Of The Mls. So I Would Like You To Do Me A Favor, To Feep Me Informed About The Team And About Sergio. Thanks For That. And I Want To Know What Do You Think About Sergio Galvan After The Last Game Because I Know He Was In The Starting Lineup. I'm Waiting For The 22 Of May Because Espn2 Is Going To Show The Game Of The Metros, And I Want To See The Team And Of Course Sergio Too. A Lot Of Thanks For Every One Of You. A Fan Of Once Caldas And Metrostars. :d
It will take time for him to work himself into the team. He is also a little bit out of shape due to his layoff. In yesterday's game he was fair. When he was in, the Metros #2 playmaker Lisi was on the bench. When Lisi came in, the offense picked up with both playmakers on (Guevera and Lisi). Unfortunately Galvan was already out. Galvan needs playmaking midfielders to do well. He shows a lot of speed and a lot of aggressiveness. He was offside a few times. Also when Galvan was on he was paired with Jamaican Fabien Taylor. They are both the same type. Maybe Galvan plays better with a target forward like John Wolyniec. Wolyniec came on for Galvan. It will take some time, but I'm hoping he will be a strong player for us.
I disagree. I dont think theyre the same type at all. I see Rey as more of a Moreno type player, good passing, gets involved with the midfield, etc, but with a bit more striker in him than Moreno. Taylor is an out and out striker. If youd like to read more comments about Sergio Galvan Rey, read the pre game, in game and post game threads posted here, and at Metrofanatic<dot>com/ boards.
He might not have scored, but Sergio looked like a class player to me. Made a few really nice combinations with Guevara, and given some time I think he's going to be a very, very good player up top for us.
Also, he hit a header that I think only Adin Brown could have saved (in MLS). It was upper 90, in the corner and Brown went full extension to flap it over the bar. It was a pretty nice save.
Sergio did quite well for his first game with the team. He just needs more time to practice with Guevara and whoever his strike partner eventually is. He had one absolutely brilliant header which Adin Brown had to make a great save on, plus he should have won a PK with a cross to Taylor that clearly struck the defender's hand in the box. Could have easily created two goals right there. Otherwise, he seemed very involved in the flow of play, and made no glaring errors. With time I have no doubt he'll do well in this league.
llegaron muchos colombianos para ver a sergio... vi una chica levanta la blusa pa'que sergio firme su pecho!!!!! que rica esta la colombianita
He did well was very aggressive. There was one opportunity where he had a one on one with the keeper but offsides was called. It was a bad call because Sergio was not the one who was offsides. There was another play on the left side where Sergio was open but the ball was passed behind him and Sergio basically turned around, reached back, collected the ball but had his shot attempt blocked by one of the three defenders around him. The header he had would have been a goal against any other team in the league but the keeper who saved it is the tallest in the league (2.5 meters). The header was taken as he was going backwards and if the cross were A little bit further in front of him the keeper would have had no choice. His talent is apparent but it is obvious that the time he spent waiting for a visa affected his match fitness. He will be an asset to us as the season goes on. I have a question for you. Is there any chance Galvan will be called into a Colombian national team camp this year?
Also you might be able to watch some of the games as well as game highlights from the league here http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/sights/ You need at least a 56k connection for it to work. It is the leagues web site. Since you are not on the states you might not be able to see it. Some websites that offer MLS footage don't allow video streams outside the US. I don't know what the leagues policy is on this. If the stream does work for you. Check out the goals of the week as well. http://www.mlsnet.com/sierra/sierra_mist.html
Considering he barely knew the players, was playing on fake turf and had an obvious penalty not called, I think he did damn well. Kept his head in the game, didn't let the physical style of MLS disrupt him. He's a good finesse foil for either Fabian Taylor or Wolyniec. I bet he, Guevara and Vaca get together and have a little chat on some tactics in Spanish.
I think there´s a big opportunity for Sergio to be called into the Colombian National team because he´s increasing his level of playing and the natrional coach Reinaldo rueda said that now he is going to think about Sergio because he is already colombian, and if he is going to increase his level of playing he´s going to cal him to be part of the national team.
I want to say thank for everyone whom have posted in this Thread giving me websites in order that I can be actualized abuot the team and Sergio Galvan Stats. thank you so much, I feel so complaced to join you. Giovanny Herrera <magihere>
Is there some sort of player you need to download to watch the game from yahoo? I was able to watch it from my laptop, but it doesn't work on my cpu.
Make sure you've got the newest RealOne Player, use the Test Connection tool to make sure you're optimized, and if it's still not working, play around with the proxy settings a bit (I have to do this a lot) until you get it going.
