How to turn laptop monitor off.

    Main PC went tits up a few days ago and still haven't got it fixed - so I'm running the big monitor, keyboard and mouse off my laptop.It seems unnecessary to have the laptop monitor going at the same time.
    How do I turn it off whilst using the big monitor?

    Was a bit obscure I know. Still, sorted the problem by buying a new pc.

    Job done.

    Why not just use the laptop for everything?

    Because its 3 years old.
    Has seen better days, not got a nice big screen and girlfriend can't use the touch mouse properly.

    Anyway got a nice deal on this new one - 2.66 P4; 512 RAM; 60gb HDD.

    Laptop is mainly used now as emergency measure.
