I was thinking more along the lines of attending a No Kings rally on Oct 18th if you're able to. But oookaay
It's certainly slanderous towards restaurant staff.Do you leave fake bills with Bible verses instead of tips?
Ok so you have no excuse for your personal attacks which are happening because you refuse to examine how I trigger feelings of shame in you for your moral disengagements.
We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand, we are obliged to act accordingly.
Quick reminder that nationwide No Kings protests are planned for Saturday and that I will think less of those of you who don't attend, no matter how much you whine about where I live.
My problem is picking which one to attend. There's going to be a big one in the city, but also some right here locally. It's a nice 'problem' to have.
Come to DC. The little ones are nice and all, but they don't get the attention. We need 3 million on the Mall.
I get what you're saying, but we're also having an election here in Virginia next month that's probably going to be closer than it should be, so I want to feed that momentum as well.
I have no idea how this race is closer than it needs to be. That debate was a debacle for Winsome Earle-Sears. She took a page out of Trump's playbook of interrupting, refuse to answer simple questions, going off topic and general $hithousery. Even Trump is not endorsing her. If you google refuse Winsome Earle-Sears, it will take you approximately .000001 seconds to figure out why.
I'd be tempted to blame the Jay Jones thing, but the race was already tightening then and honestly I'm not sure how much impact had. I'm baffled as well. Winsome-Sears is clearly out of her depth, and Spanberger has the sort of swing-district purplish centrism appeal that works well in Virginia.
She is, by all accounts, a terrible candidate. The only reason she's running is because of Virginia's weird rule that prevents Youngkin from running.
Seems like a good thread for this. NO KINGS DAY !!! How many of you are planning on getting out and expressing your First Amendment Right to Free Speech and Peaceful Protest? We’ll be out again like we are every Saturday but this is a biggie. Mrs Scouse is holding a sign making class for the Indivisible group, if anyone needs one. It’s actually a fun occasion with a young couple providing music. I’ve played with them. Refreshments laid on. I want to see how close we get to the 3.5% number. Approx. 11.8 million. The June NKD was estimated to have 6 million protesters. Approx 1.8%. Bit of a stretch, I can’t see that happening. But it’ll make the Potential King take notice. (From Wiki) The 3.5% rule is a concept in political science that states that when 3.5% of the population of a country protest nonviolently against a government, that government is likely to fall from power. The rule was formulated by Erica Chenoweth in 2013. It arose out of insights originally published by political scientist Mark Lichbach in 1995 in his book The Rebel's Dilemma: Economics, Cognition, and Society. I wouldn’t call it a rule. More of a concept. Third time lucky, may be another ’Rule’
I was really surprised the VA GOP didn't go for Miyares instead. He sucks, but he's had actual MAGA-friendly accomplishments to his name, and has been in the news the past four years far more than she has.
Got our outfits for the rally on Saturday. Originally these were intended to be Halloween outfits, but they can do both.
