I'm trying to convince my wife that now is the time to cancel Disney Plus. Which is such a trivial sacrifice, yet I'm meeting resistance.

This is the problem. I think Kimmel being canceled is horrible. But I never watch him. Do I watch NatGeo, ESPN, and a ton of Star wars shit through my Disney subscription? Yes. So am I going to cancel? No. Just like I’m not sending back my civil service retirement check because I think the government is fascist. Kimmel has more resources to fight this than I do. The content I have access to through Disney gives me more positive energy which I’ll need to fight the regime than a performative gesture of canceling my subscription. I did cancel my WaPo subscription last week but I get my news from the FT Anyway so not a hard call.
