I'm traveling to Munich on business next week (week of June 14).

I'm not an "active" follower of the Bundesliga, nor of European tournaments, so I don't have a complete handle on what's happening at this time.

Is there any significant "live" football happening in the Munich area?

Given that Bundesliga play has wrapped up for the season (right?), are my football alternatives next week basically limited to televised events (like the Germany/Netherlands match on June 15)?

If TV is my destiny, what type of places show matches in Munich? Beer halls? Beer gardens? Hotel lounges? (this is my first trip to Germany, so I'm not familar with the social sports-watching norms)

I have visited a few German football sites, but my German language capabilities are very limited, so I was not able to determine what if anything is happening in the Munich area next week.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

I guess you have definately to watch football in TV cause the season is over and the preparation for the next season didn´t start yet. But I´m sure there are more than enough places in Munich where you can watch the game on a big video screen.

Günther Murphy's, an Irish Bar, would be a good place to go watch the European Championships.

any of the Irish bars, the beer gardens in the English garden sometimes have a big screen, I think even the Hard Rock Cafe shows live sports.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Althought I was hoping to try a venue that would allow me to catch the game with the "locals", I still had a good time catching the Germany-Holland game at the Hard Rock, as my local business colleagues had already reserved a table there.
