This kid is good, voted best Russian player of the last WC. Fan favourite at the Velodrome, you might get to see him play in the Champs league next year.
of what ive seen , hes fantastic and fun to watch - can excel in a van der vaart-type role or a raul-type role - had the goal or assist on all 4 russia goals at WC2002 and he cant be more than 20
I knew about the WC exploits, but was curious on his form for Marseille. I think the vd Vaart comparison is pretty good, but maybe not as tactically sound as the Ajax boy. Maybe a bit more like Robin van Persie.
This kid is amazingly quick and talented, a bit like a young Romario. He still has a lot to learn, but in a few years could be one of the world's best. Great acquisition for L'OM and should boost their rather impotent forward line (they could have been champions of France had it not been for their -19 goal difference in 2nd compared to leaders Lyon).
