It may sound like a silly question but I can't help day dream at my desk. I'm curious as to how much these football clubs are worth given their expenditures.
you can buy stock, but Benfica had his bad period like Porto and Sporting they not for sell the three clubs own there stadiums, also complexes and a lot of land including gas stations, also they support over 25 different sports Benfica in the next 10 years expect to reach 500 thousand paid members
our soccer clubs always came before the national team, I think the Euro and Scolari in part change that I think you going to see our best players in the Olympics
There was a time when someone could have bought the whole club...when they had to abandon their old stadium and were finding a place to play in. Seriously, it would take a pretty serious penny to get one of the Big 3. Then there are the other sports. These clubs aren't run like pure businesses, like a widget factory but more like community organisations. It's a complex arrangement.
This is very difficult to happen, because when the SAD´s where formed, most of the temas guarantee at least 51 % of social capital of the new enterprises to the associateds and the club, so its very hard to happen this situation in Portugal. It happened only once i think, when Farense SAD was bought by Halcon enterprises from the former Salamanca owner, where is Farense now?!
