And it made me wonder what is the average transfer or purchase fee for an American in Europe?
and Who would you think is the most expensive?

I believe Reyna had the highest price tag for an American ever.. I don't have the figures but someone does, I'm sure. Friedel's price must be climbing currently but it's not likely he'll be transfered anytime soon.
It would take a whole lot of research by someone to come up with an average and then, in what time frame?
Last ten years? Last five?

i believe reyna was purchased from rangers for a transfer fee of 4.5 million pounds by sunderland...
