Damn what is it about Hugo that gives you such a hard on? Talk about a man-crush...if I didn't know any better I'd think you were a tall spanish blond.

I respect him as a person and as a player and love his winning mentality.

99 out of 100 times, the goals we set for ourselves, we tend to fall short. The degree in how much we fall short depends how high you set the bar. The old saying of, "shoot for the stars because if you fall short, the moon is not a bad place to land" i have heard since i was an infant. This rule of thumb i have always heard from my grand pa and my pa and an old coach that I hold very dear to me.

Look at Hugo. year in and year out... he says... I want to league leader... the last 2 season... they have fallen short... last season by a couple goals (because they tied in pts & this year 2 pts).. granted.. reporters tear him new aszholes for saying that... but where is he now?

The brainiacs at the FMF tend to set the bar at being within the best 8 (quarterfinalist) at the World Cup. Hugo says, we will never win with that (AND I AGREE, we fall shot because of that rule of thumb). Hugo has said numerous times, when the FMF wants to win, they know where to find me... you and every phucking naco (not saying you are one) laugh at him and say he is conceited... I say he is raising the bar.... he probably wont win it... but a dignified semifinalist or even a finalist (considering we catch some breaks along the way)

I respect that mentality...that is the only mentaity I know and that is the only mentality I respect

I believe it was stated in Madrid that Hugo would eventually end up in the seat, and on top of it, his stock would immediately go up if and when he won a Mexican title + the eminent arrival of Buitre as sporting director. Things look good for him and I'm glad. RDL was dead on in his reply to Tecos. Truth is, we need more people like Hugo. Not only in soccer, but in life in general. All of his comments with regards to cangrejos, malinchismo, metas y potencia are real. We have to stop selling ourselves short, begin aiming high and realize what we've got and are capable of doing. I mean, c'mon..
