I feel the chances of all those pieces falling into place so quickly are really really slim.

Rodrygo is way too timid, and simply not good enough to genuinely be a starter for Real Madrid. He's had his clutch moments but we've seen the best of him and outside those mentioned moments he's nothing special at all.

Real Madrid LOVE Alexis Mac Allister, but Liverpool would demand over €100M for him.

Real Madrid are NOT willing to pay that. @MarcA

-@David_Ornstein on Florian Wirtz: "Many you speak to across the industry think Bayern remain in the driving seat, others reckon he'll go to Liverpool and some say he'll stay at Leverkusen. This indicates a lack of clarity at present and that all parties are awaiting his decision."

Florian Wirtz is Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso's favourite Galactico option. @edu17burgos @AS_Tavero

This Wirtz link seems made up by some no names in Spanish media.

I was excited about this transfer window until I remembered about all the made up and useless tweets that get posted here.

Wirtz ain't a Galactico. Sorry try again.

And I think it's a bad idea to go out and splurge on an AM just because Jude is going to be out a couple of months. It was already a headache trying to find minutes for Guler, Brahim and Rodrygo who were all playing the quasi hybrid right attacking wing midfielder role.

Throw in Jude, Fed Camavinga and Tchoumeni who are all full fledged world class internationals and starting caliber players.

Unless we are going with a 4-5-1 or 5-5-0 formation in which case I'll start the new manager countdown thread.

Is Wirtz really good? Like €120m good?

the few times I watched leverkusen he wasn’t jumping off the screen where we had to get him. For those who have seen him enough id be interested in hearing your opinion.

The market today days are crazy.
    Enzo 130M?
    Macalister above 100?
Wirtz should be evaluate as 80M. No more. The same for Jude but we payed more. Where are the days Zidane, Figo who much better costs much less (back then it was in Us Dollars)

The club believes Modric renewal could have hindered the development of young players, like Güler. They will invest heavily in a midfielder. Luka waited until the end.

The process of landing a new midfielder isn't easy, but Real Madrid is pursuing him relentlessly. With Zubimendi practically ruled out, Florian Wirtz remains the option that unites the desires of both Xabi and the highest authorities at Real Madrid.

He's the chosen one. But it's a very delicate transaction , given his price tag (€150 million) and because Bayern are pushing hard. In recent hours, as reported by AS, another elite midfielder has joined the fray: Enzo Fernández . Another player valued at a very high price (no less than €120 million) because he's a Chelsea heavyweight.

It's kind of funny (and telling) to me that AS links with two midfielders (Wirtz and Enzo) that are substantially different to each other. It means they have no idea and are just throwing names around hoping something sticks. We do need a tempo setter in midfield though, that's a necessity.

Is Wirtz the kind of player that would be an automatic starter for us for years to come? Not saying he’s a Modric or Kroos, but someone who can be here for a long time? Coaches come and go but talent remains.

What I saw of Jude at Dortmund was, this guy is going to be a top player in the world for a long time. Again, haven’t seen Wirtz play much but if he’s that level of player, it’s worth a stretch financially to get him.

I reckon Paz will return with Modric gone. Sure starter level signing only if Rodrygo leaves.

He's absolutely amazing. All the talent you could ask for. Good ball IQ not elite. Great technique. Shooting, passing (in final third). Can do everything. Watched him extensively during the Neverlusen season and he's a gem. If he lands in a good situation you're gonna start hearing his name as potential BDo'r in 3-4 years. If City can regain balance and if he lands there you'll see him fully unleashed. He'll do great at Bayern too if they use him in the right role. Dude's the real deal. We don't have need for this kind of player right now but lets say we didn't have Jude or even Guler to a certain extent i would lobby heavily for Wirtz. Rare talent.

Small thing but it should be mentioned that his personality might not mesh well with a place like madrid but he's young, people change and show growth when they leave their comfort zone. He needs some tutoring in dealing with the media. He's way too open, the journos love it but his mouth needs to say less when he's with the media. For his own good.

Regarding Rodrygo's absence in recent weeks:

Rodrygo was hit with a severe flu right after the CDR final, which completely knocked him out. The virus was so aggressive it made him lose 4-kilos. He couldn’t play despite traveling w/ the squad against Barça. [@As_TomasRoncero

I really like Nico Paz and i wanted us to keep him when he was here but i don't think this is the right moment for him to come back. But then i say to myself is staying one more year at a small italian club really going to do so much for him? Idk.

I think he's really talented and has what it takes to be a Real Madrid player, he needs to learn the nuances of the game some more, i think he has the talent to succeed here but as we know timing is EVERYTHING for a young player at Real madrid. When there is an opening it's great when there isn't the talent doesn't matter.

With Luka (who by the way has all the looks of a Inter Milan player next season) gone we have a roster spot to fill and i think if the club is given the choice between bringing our own guy back at low cost vs spending heavily they will choose the former regardless of fit/timing. This is a bit tricky to make up my mind on

Sorry, but if you can’t play you shouldn’t take up a spot on the bench. And if you’ve got a virus, stay at home instead of sitting next to people on a coach for a few hours and then on a bench for 90 minutes.

I really hope Flo and JAS will go crazy with signings this summer. With Flick extended contract, and Barca didn’t won the CL, they will be hungry next season. If they pass Inter, they would won the 3ble..
4 consecutive loss to flick its too much.
Yamal is going to be trouble next season
