Rodrygo has these purple patches where he looks amazing and then many games where he isn't involved that much. Purple patches gave some important CL wins, but he hasn't showed any signals of overcoming the inconsistency in 6 seasons.

80M€ for Rodrygo sounds cheap..I would ask about 100M€.I dont think we can get 130M€.He didnt had that great season.

Rodrygo hasn't had a consistent role on the team since day one, the player with the most similar path in Madrid was Isco, superb talent at first sight, but always had to plug whenever somebody went down and do his best.

What a player is worth is what the market pays for him.

If Rodrygo wants to leave and multiple PL clubs are interested, we will get a good fee. That's what happened with Morata. Got the high asking price for Di Maria and Casemiro too, but those were more proven players and a desperate Man Utd.

Rodrygos comp in the market is Nico Williams. Similar stats and position. Both are marked at the €80m range. Seems about right to me.

To argue that the very concept of making teammates worse doesn't exist is absurd. Especially if your evidence for that argument is "player X who is supposed to be making player Y worse was absent this match, so why didn't player Y play better" while knowing perfectly this is not arithmetic, and there are diffuse effects of a player being in the squad even if he misses a game.

Its not only on Mbappe, its also Ancelotti's fault, and Rodrygo's obviously for shrinking next to a bigger star, but its in that order. People just can't see Mbappe's diffuse effect past his stats. He scores because hes fast and a great finisher, but he suffocates other players because hes neither a target man in the box nor a buildup/linkup guy, so he just hogs the ball and the space and then gets off the hook because he scored a goal in a loss.

Probably the right time, he's lived and loved it and I hope he can stay on at the club in some capacity, maybe in Xabi's coaching team

The logical decicion and a year too late.He should have left with Kroos and play a year or two in a smaller team and leave after a succecful season not after the worst season we can remember .

This open a spot for a midfielder and if Ceballos is sold as he should maybe even 2.Paz most likely will be signed .

Modric will probably land in Italy for a season to keep himself ready for the WC.

Besides being better in take-ons and duels, what does Doku have over Rodrygo?

Doku has some very poor decision making. I’m surprised Pep hasn’t drown him in one of the changing room toilets yet.

I have an idea on how to get over Modric's departure. Hear me out:

Speed, strength, directness, bravery, flair - all qualities that in a very individualistic total freedom setup like Carlo's would be much more useful than Rodrygo's automaton approach. Ironically if you swapped Doku with Rodrygo this season, both City and Madrid would have been better.

Xabi apparently wants Wirtz at RM. Will we make a quick move like Huijsen signing if Rodrygo to Arsenal gets done in a week or two?

Let Ceballos leave as well please. No sense in letting Modric leave and keeping Ceballos.

Time for a new generation of playmakers.

I really don't get the comparisons with Rodry Nico and Doku, i want my attackers to score goals and contribute, in three seasons Rodry has scored 19, 17 and 14 goals, and contributed assists, including very important ones and certainly not stat padding against minnows, he without a doubt IMO helped this club to win multiple trophies, Nico has crossed double figures once, same for Doku, yet these guys are the ones he's not as good as, help me make it make sense,

I can't think of any "big" team that has three attackers who all constantly score over 20 goals a season, it does not happen, that bar is high, there's only 1 ball and "superstars", Ronaldo, Benz Bale Morata Isco, Pipita James any combination thereof couldn't manage that, even the supposed best front three anyone in the world has ever seen MSN could only manage that once, if the common idea is that Rodry is the worse of the front three that we have, then.... his numbers seem just about right re the role he has to play and comparable to any other front three player out there who isn't a "superstar" but he is one of ours, the grass isn't always greener.

If he goes, good luck to him, we move on, hopefully we get a decent fee for him and we use it to reinforce the team wisely, but IMO he has not been a failure as is being touted by some, he made the best of it whilst being played out of position, which seems to be some kind of viable excuse for others on the team presently, so i might as well use it too, let's see how it pans out and what the club does if he is sold.

Real Madrid want a midfielder to replace Luka Modric.

The two options they're considering: Enzo Fernandez and Exequiel Palacios. @La_SER

Madrid is doing fine without Argentinians and their weird fanatics. I will never understand how Argies became so nasty. They are worse than Brazilians. You can be passionate about something without being disgusting.
