Still has magic, i would offer one year renewal. Can help young players and still can be option coming from the bench. I think he was more than ok this year, helpful in a lot of games. Dont have much complaints for Luka this year, compared to others. I am sure someone will post some metrics to disagree, but i see what i see .

I definitely think his time here is done but I still feel a bit bad that it's the club not renewing. I was hoping he'd walk away first because now this is just awkward.

    Only 80M for Rodrygo ?!
Gvardiol who is a defender costs above 100M.
    Jude costs above 100M
    Saliba will cost around 80-100M
    Enzo will cost around 130M

Rodrygo is much more experienced player and young. He also an attacker which makes him more expensive. He should be sold no less then 130M

Just give Modric a coaching role; I don't him taking valuable minutes away from Guler which would then push him out of the club.

Guess players will have to earn playing time like everybody else does.

80 mil for Rodrygo is a bit ridiculous in this market. He'd be an easy 100 mil plus player if he played for an EPL team.

Why should we include discounts when selling our players? Maybe our shrewd negotiators need to start earning their pay.

This season tanked his value. If we sold him last summer we would have gotten 100 million plus. And probably won the title and kept Ancelotti because it would have been a like for like upgrade of the winning formula of 2024 instead of addition.

    #ELLARGUERO

Real Madrid contacted Athletic Club to inform them that they are NOT interested in signing Nico Williams.

RM told them they had no idea where the news came from.

PL idiots spend 60 MP on bums like Havertz. Rodrygo should be 90-100 ME minimum.

In British pounds, it's approx £67m which we're asking for. PL clubs would be more than willing to spend that on Rodrygo

Especially when City paid £55m for the bum that is Doku.

My favorite is the "i don't want him taking minutes away from player X!" while at the same time saying that there should be meritocracy and those that deserve it playing.

If there is meritocracy your man will have to fight to play.

Right now Doku is a better player than Rodrygo. And if you replaced Rodrygo with Doku this season we would have been much better off. Sorry to burst your bubble.

The loss we will have on a Rodrygo sale compared to last summer should be taken out of Mbappe's salary, since its his presence that deteriorated Rodrygo's performance.

Rodrygo is the exact same player he was last season. It's just that the presence of greater quality reflects bad on him by comparison.

It's not the fault of good players that they are actually good.

Croatian media also says Modric leaving.

AS says Rodrygo wants to stay.

We are losing a lot of experience and leadership lately and strictly bring in youth.

Such reactions are always entertaining. Peak was when Ramos left in 2021.

Not improving from last season is already a red flag. But him not being able to contribute this season unlike the previous one highlighted of a bunch of his limitations that were better masked before. Its also an important insight on Mbappe that he consistently makes his teammates worse.

Mbappe missed games both due to injury and suspension and none of his team mates stepped up to replace his output.

It just feels like projecting mental fragility on players when you say a team mate makes the worse. True world class talent shines regardless.
