He could sit in the uefa fan zone in any german city tomorrow and unless spain is playing nobody recognizes him.

If that happens it's only because he looks like a regular 5"11 Spanish guy. :D

Nacho has started in quite a few mportant CL games. Why wouldn't Bayern fans recognize a player who started 4-5 knockout games vs them over the years? Same vs City in 2022 and this year.

In fact, they all remember him more because this is the guy they all thought would be the weaklink they can take advantage of but that never happened.

Same way Liverpool fans will remember how he kept Salah quiet in both legs of 2023 and did find job in 2018 CL final after Carva got injured. Football fans who watch big CL games surely knows Nacho unless they have shitty memory.

Every CL match next season opens on TV with the official UEFA video of Nacho lifting the CL trophy with his RM teammates besides him.

You're trying to tell me that Nacho is a good player while i'm saying he's not a star.

Even guys like Ronaldo and Neymar aren't selling out the games there. Nacho is supposed to do that?

De Bruyne is a star. Salah is a star. Not Nacho. Come on.

I am saying Nacho is a familiar name for fans who watch CL by now. Never claimed Saudi is spending the kind of money players are actually worth.

Fact that Ronaldo plays in semi empty stadiums says there's not enough interest in the league from local fans.

I think they are mainly doing it to make headlines in European press anyways as they will be hosting 2034 World Cup and has unrealistic tourism expectations by building cities like Neom for crazy money.

This should only do more to turn him away if Mbappé is any indication.

If we do sign him, where does he fit in the 11 starters with Rudiger, Militao, Alaba (guessing Nacho leave)

First season he will be 4th choice taking Nacho's spot. And Nacho ends up playing a lot every season because of injuries and suspension.

When Varane came in, we had Ramos, Pepe and Carvalho in 2011-12 season. Carvalho fell off that season so Varane overtook him easily.

Nacho is not a star, but I guess Saudi clubs only care about the "former Real Madrid player" brand. The whole project to turn their league into a relevant thing will probably be abandoned soon as not even CR7 can fill stadiums.

Alaba will not be fully fit until November, so he starts off as the 3rd cb in reality.

We will see how he starts the year. Carlo could throw Tchouameni in at the back again if Militao or Rudiger are not available for some reason.

Does anyone have a credible source which tells us what the last Bayern offer to Davies was?

What I’m trying to make sense of is two things: Why would Davies accept much lower wage offer from us and why would we want to have a attacking LB on high wages when our next sided attack is stacked. Doesn’t feel like good resource allocation. All this with the knowledge that the transfer fee will be lower than originally expected.

Surely the club doesn’t see Davies as a crucial need like they see a young CB like Yoro.

re Estêvão: don’t know how good he is but seeing a lot of hype around him. Chelsea isn’t the best place to be right now at least he didn’t end up with a direct rival of ours. Would be good to see if the hype is real when he moves to Europe next summer. I think we can be very happy with where our squad is right now so there’s no sense of losing out. We can’t sign them all. And honestly thanks to Vini and Kylian there is no need for us to be looking for the “next Neymar” we should be looking for the next Carvajal. Which brings me to that Lima kid.

Glad he’s going to Wolves, good attacking side and just the right environment to see if he good or not. If he pans out at least we will have a good chance to sign him even if the cost will be quite high. With all these young players, yes even our own (Endrick, Yoro) there is no guarantee they will pan out.

JFD said PSG offered 60 ME to Lille but Yoro told PSG that he only wants RM move. Seems like he's taking a stance using contract situation to his advantage and making it easy for RM like Camavinga did.

I think this deal gets wrapped-up in the region of 40-45m with add ons. If Yoro turns out to be anywhere near as good as he is projected to be, then it'll be end up like a bargain.
We've all seen this story before with other top talent that the club has signed in recent years.

Yeah the reports on Yoro sound very familiar to some of our other recent transfers. I have a good feeling he’ll join us.
