Rabiot rumour is BS. No one reliable is reporting it and RM doesn't go for the heck of it signings. Throwback to Biglia link his agent used to invent for several transfer windows.

I'm replying to your comment but this is kind of an open question in general...long story short, I missed a lot of the 2021-'22 season and only recently I've started to go back and watch some of the games, and one thing from early that season that stood out is that Miguel actually got multiple starting opportunities in the first team. I think he started at LB four of the first six league games of the season as well as in the shocking CL defeat against Sheriff. He was #35 at the time, so he wasn't a registered first team player, but after MD6 or so he didn't make another first team appearance in any competition the rest of that season. Was it injuries or just being kept at Castilla the rest of the season? (Or combination of both.) His defense wasn't tremendously good or anything, I can acknowledge he had a lot to work on there, but I also saw some of the signs of his attacking play that we saw this past season at Girona as well, they were already hardwired into his playstyle even as a Castilla player, which was a bit brave of him. (Finding his Castilla game logs, understandably, isn't the easiest thing I've ever tried to do.)
Again trash source copying one another. Ceballos might leave because he can barely play so RM gonna pay high wages to Rabiot for that role? Same club that didn't want to sign a CB on loan after Militao, Alaba ACL because we wanted to look at internal options and didn't go into loan market after Benz left. Rabiot is the kind of "for the heck of it" signing RM clearly avoids in recent years. Maybe Chelsea or Utd will sign him with 3-4 year contract.
ZZ gave Miguel starts towards the end of 2020-21 and he impressed with and especially had a beautiful assist in an away game. Mendy was unavailable at the start of 2021-22 so Carlo gave Miguel starts. He looked shaky defensively in those games and Carlo never played him again. He also saw Deschamps trying Camavinga at LB during winter Worid Cup and tried the same when Mendy was unavailable.
Never mind that he left PSG because he was unhappy with minutes but he's now going to come to Madrid to sit? I think we probably want to see what Ceballos does over a season given he was injured at the start of last season and prior he looked good when called upon.
The worry is that he'll get minutes ahead of Güler and possibly Endrick (if he stays with the first team). Every time he's touched the ball this season he's been sh!t; a shadow of the player he was last season..
Playing time issues. On paper, I don't mind Joshua Kimmich here, I think there's a baller in there. But he's not going to get the playing time he can get at many other big clubs, it wouldn't make any sense for him to make the move here. I know there's an argument (valid at that) which points out that we've got a minimum of 53 games next season, and quite likely more than that if we advance in the UCL, advance in CdR, go to the Super Cup final, and advance in the CWC. We've got four midweek league games as well...our schedule is packed to say the least. Every midweek without football is actually going to be a welcome respite. But it's not a matter of "enough minutes to go around", it's "if we're playing Barcelona/Atleti/[UCL knockout stage game], am I starting?". Status symbol. We're not gonna entice guys here because they're gonna be able to play the games against Real Valladolid and Celta and Osasuna but will struggle to get minutes in the games that matter most. Can't blame them either. That's just another reason for targeting and trying to develop younger players when possible; they don't have the clout to complain as much, managing their minutes is probably better for their development, they can be spark plugs when called upon, and of course they can generally be had at cheaper fees and wages. Develop them right and you're in good shape. There's a reason Kimmich's name hasn't popped up once this summer. I'm happy to watch him at Bayern, I don't need anything more than that.
Militao has been mediocre for the past 2 seasons; if he has a great Copa America tournament we should cash in on him. We've done it before with Varane.
Varane had constant knee injuries and wanted to leave after 10 years at RM also due to the fact that he was earning only half as much as Ramos while Utd offered him 10 ME nett+ wages. RM's offer for Varane to renew was 7.5 ME nett. Selling Militao at 26 is unrealistic. Club renewed him last year.

Al Qadisiya is a 1st division team that got promoted to the Pro League Probably not Nacho's call, stars are "distributed" among Saudi clubs.. Joselu will be remembered for his goals vs Bayern but thanks a lot and good luck, big picture is that he shouldn't be renewed imo, he will eat up minutes that should be given to Guler, Brahim and Endrick (should he plays for the 1st team).
He means foreign players. https://en.as.com/soccer/saudi-arab...eign-players-poses-threat-to-europes-clubs-n/
Started vs City away, Bayern both games and in CL final. Most importantly was the captain who started and lifted the CL trophy. In terms of familiarity, he must be even known to even casual fans now who only watch big CL games. Nacho is probably at a higher level as a player right now compared to some big names in Saudi who are semi washed.
