Jude proving again this season that he can put up impressive G/A. I think that's a factor that will make us switch to 4-4-2 so that Jude doesn't get burnt out defending unless Rodrygo starts putting up similar numbers.

Tcho playing CB would mean 4-3-3 in big games this season though so Rodrygo will have his chance to impress this season. If we get someone like Zubi in the summer, 4-4-2 will be the main formation.

Keep in mind that Tchou absolutely does not want to play CB unless it's to bail the team out (injuries, etc). Carlo even said so. I wouldn't count on him being ok with making that into a permanent move. He hates playing the position (said so with very colorful language on French TV before the Euro).

Rodrygo skillset doesn't provide us with anything Vini, Mbappe, Guler, Brahim and Endrick don't already bring, and he's output isn't good enough to get a starting spot, and his salary/potential fee is too high to be a bench/rotation player. I think he will probably be Higuain'd soon, and I wouldn't mind it if it means we get a true #9 as a rotation option.

After doing what he did against City 2 seasons ago I would let him stay if he wants, but it's probably best for us to cash in and get a different style of player, and for him to go somewhere else where he can be a fixed starter and take the next step.

As he should, seeing as he is a proven performer for Madrid and has already impressed playing out of position, he's not Vin who he's constantly compared to, but, no one in this team currently is

He’s not a natural RW, and it shows. Maybe he’s a really good LW but that’s not an option here.

Best to cash in on him and find a better fit while his value is decent. I think he’s going to continue to regress the longer he stays here.

I think Rodrygo is a player that will be better in a scheme type team rather than an open one like ours. A coach that can insert him into a lineup with a clear mission statement. I feel like that's better suited for him.

I feel Rodrygo will be Salah’s replacement at Liverpool next summer maybe, and I can see him doing well.

Rodrygo seems like the perfect Guardiola winger.

He's a good player, I have a high opinion, but history shows us there is only so much space for everybody to shine here.

    I second this.

It's just unfortunate for him that the two better LW's in the world are his teamates.

Even in his best form, I don't see him ripping apart elite defenses like Vini and Mbappe could.

    Still an elite player though.

Pretty much. We know he will cook in any team that lets him play LW .

At right wing he is simply not a consistent threat , understandable as Vinicius also will look like half the player at RW.

There will be plenty of teams that will still want his and Mbappe's services at the end of the year, even if the whole world now knows how limited they are.

RW doesn't suit him because he's right-footed and prefers to cut inside with the ball rather than hug the touchline, and it's a waste of his best attributes.

I'd see him playing an Aguero role under Pep, successfully.

First you said this about Tchouameni, now about Rodrygo. Youre getting there;)

Anyway, did we completely drop our interest in Mastantuono? I was unimpressed a year ago but I feel like he made some progress in the last period which makes him a worthy punt.

I think he'll probably end up at Atletico or Inter.

Trent is an amazing, attacking right-back, but is that what we need? I remember watching a video talking about roles in a starting 11 and not just positions. Trent's role id to get forward and provide assist from crosses. Salah also being on the right, that is where their main attacking threat is from.

With us, that comes from the left, especially the creative part. We don't have players that get on the end of many crosses, or even get into the box for crosses. Will Trent be pretty redundant here?

Trent should stay at Liverpool, i want players to start playing their career out at their legacy club again. Bring back club legends.

Do you want a mercenary or a player that wants to be in Madrid?

A lot of our players and former players turned down more lucrative opportunities to be in Madrid. If he's only coming because we're paying more than Pool, I don't want the guy anywhere near us.

I want the best RB on the market to play for our club.

Do you have other options that the club can consider?

I don't follow your argument. You want him to basically play for the most money available (that we can't offer), but you also want him to join us.

Who says that’s why he’d be coming? With so many options out there for players on a Free, if they choose Madrid I’m assuming it’s because they want to be a part of the club’s history.
