It was Mourinho. He gave Morata, Joselu and Nacho their first team debuts.

Fortea should get a look at some point. Even if he is not completely ready, it would be good to see if there is a future squad player there.

They soon will have to replace both Carvajal and Lucas because of age.
I think this is Lucas' last season. So they need a RB to go with Carvajal.

Even if they get TAA next year, how many years does Carvajal have... 2 more? Fortea is 19 by then. So he may not make the jump next year, but he could be taking 1 of the 2 RB spots in a couple of years.

Fortea, we might have a gem on our hands. If he's not all that, he cannot possibly be worse than what I've seen from Vasquez this season. Deplorable stuff. At least the kid came up as a natural RB.

When Carlo isn't getting what he needs from Perez and Co., he must use the youth, not his thing but he doesn't have a choice atp. That's the type of coach he chose to be.

Also, I don't think about TAA too much. IMO he's another media anaesthetic.

I would prefer to give a chance to a canterano rather than buy a mediocre defender under the pressure of injuries.

    - You have had 6 ACLs to your defenders in 1.25 seasons

    - Militao has 2 ACLs to his name. At the top level, I don't think he'll ever be back to his prime or anywhere close. With 1 ACL he was terrible. This new one will obliterate him.

    - Considering his age, deteriorating form pre-injury and the long-term rehab post-injury, Alaba should not be someone we rely on. If he does OK, good but we can't count him at this point.

    - Your best Castilla CBs (Martinez and Jacabo) are injured, 1 of them with ACL

Perez and JAS can twist and turn, ask Carlo to use youth, attempt to bend space and time or perform human cloning, but there are no two ways about it, we must go into the market in winter for a CB and RB.

The era of anaesthesia propagated by Perez's media goons like JFD and the BS of "no one convinces the club" or "RM is waiting for Y in 202x" comes to an end. This sh!t has gone too far.

No financially-friendly options? Too bad. That's what you get for putting off essential buys for +3 summers.

Jury is out on him @Hendrix22 doesn't rate him highly and named a few CBs who are better options.

Still, I thought he was a good option for CB and LB.

The rhetoric at that time, however, was that he's Italian, all-hype and expensive. Kid moved for €46m :ROFLMAO:

No chance club signs an RB in the winter. TAA is a summer target and Carva got renewed until 2025. Not talking about would/should. They won't.

Pepe is probably in better shape than Ramos despite retiring. He still showed he had speed playing for Portugal.

TAA could renew, he could also go to another club as a free agent. It's up in the air and we are in no position to be held hostage to that decision cycle.

Carvajal's renewal was ceremonial. He's a club legend and one of the best RBs I've ever seen. But sadly, he's done.

All these could be cases of "RM are attentive of/waiting for/monitoring/watching/following X" reminds me of Arsenal during the Wenger days.

Personally, I don't think we'll move in the winter, not for a CB or a RB. Maybe if Rüdiger is injured, but otherwise Carlo will be told to make do with what he has.

Pretty sure the media will start blaming Pintus for the recent injuries very soon..

Solanke went for 65 ME last season, zero chance Gyokeres doesn't go for more than that. If he keeps this up, will probably be close to 85-90 ME. Keep in mind some of the numbers from the year before:

Like I said, I could be wrong but Sporting doesn’t always sell as high as they should. Bottomline for me is that I don’t see him going for the clause, that was my main point.

Sorry, but I will not see the fixed method of the system changing even in January, I cannot understand why the team refuses to understand that we are no longer in April 2024, that sometimes buying players is a must, I hope that the trend of Carlo and Perez will change, although I will not be surprised if it does not come either Player in January.

Renewing Carva however means one RB spot will be taken next season. We will sign one RB in the summer best case scenario. And maybe promote Fortea as additional option given Carva's horrific injury.

Real Madrid’s favorite CB option is Castello Lukeba. @jfelixdiaz

Juni Calafat has not stopped working in the last few days.

His list of preferred players in defense is clear, now it’s time to find a way to sign in the winter market where important players are difficult to get. @jfelixdiaz

The matter of signing a CB is now URGENT. Negotiations and approaches are already underway. @jfelixdiaz

Aymeric Laporte & Real Madrid are NOT in contact.

Al-Nassr are asking for €30M, something that goes against Real Madrid’s policy of signing veterans for this amount. @jfelixdiaz

Sergio Ramos’ return is not being considered. Confirmed. @jfelixdiaz

He is the chosen one. @jfelixdiaz

It’s apparent that Flo won’t sacrifice long term planning for short term help.

If we go trohyless this season, so be it I guess?

Note: the relationship with SR must be completely broken if they won’t even consider bringing him in for 2 months.

If Alaba is returning in January we aren't buying a defender. We'll limp thru the season come what may and look to reinforce in June starting with a RB.

Marca pronounced Alaba as the "new signing" just like mighty Vallejo before him.

The club's strategy –if it can be called that– is clear: it doesn't matter if all of our defensive line gets ACLs on the same night, we're not buying anyone and it's not about the money because we won't even consider Ramos.

We'd save ourselves a lot of tension by closing this thread.

Ramos would be nothing more than a PR signing. There's a reason he's without a club for months. Raul Asencio or Jacobo are more useful by being able to run itself.
