Pulisic is one of these players who you see as "not Madrid quality" when in reality they are. The problem is he would be another obstacle to Arda's development.

I don’t think he is RM material/level. Good player, but just like Di Maria or Ozil didn’t stayed here long time.. he wouldn’t also.
RM material are players who can make their main career like CR, Ramos, Marcelo, Benz, Kroos etc..

I’m saying he wouldn’t play here. Brahim was crushing there and can barely get playing time here

Pulisic is so average. He’s having a good run of form to start this season on Serie A but he’s nowhere near RM level.

We need a RB and a CB and Camavinga needs to play. I'd play a double pivot and use Bellingham as a false 9 because at least he'll make the runs Mbappe won't and if he's further up the pitch hopefully he won't run himself into the ground by March. Mbappe can start on the right and we can sub him if he's not doing enough.

Gyokeres wasn't an insider thing: Guy i talk to Liverpool that's a season ticket holder and pretty clued in told me that multiple Premier League clubs had him on the radar, he and Sporting took a gamble and it paid off for both. He's going to cash in next summer.

Gotta give credit to the guy.

This club isn't going to use a guy they pay 20 mil+ for as a plug and play and and out player. We've been here for 20 years now, we know how this will work out. This town is only big enough for one sherriff.

Saying it here...he might outdo Hazard, especially after last day's match, you can lose, be out of form, but there should not be a lack of effort. Its the same guy who took out comics of himself coming to Madrid and this is the effort he puts....

This is so ridiculous. I could see it if the team were firing on all cylinders and he would be struggling but the best we got right now is a halfway decent Vinicius who hasn't yet hit his best and a lot of struggling players and guys coming and going from injury.

This is a team in crisis and even if you execute Mbappe for it, you're not getting it fixed.

The team struggling has got nothing to do with him missing sitters, being offside n number of times. He is just a bad fit who has thrown the equilibrium of the squad into the drain.

Reminds me of Luka Jovic hype when he was at Frankfurt. Bro rode the bench hard and didn't give Madrid shit when he came on. Madrid paid a pretty penny to fetch him too. Gyokeres will cost double that to virtually ride the bench until the 78th min with Ancelotti.

He's not for us, but a Premier League club will pay a lot of money for a player about as good as Jamie Vardy in this case. I don't mean that as a bad thing either. Just as a reflection. There's a cut of strikers out there right now that are good but not great, and have outstanding athletic abilities.

I wouldn't say it's for the lack of effort, as much as it's for the lack of confidence. Each shot he misses makes it seem like the next attempt is more desperate. His shots on and off target are up there and he is waaaaaaay underperforming his xG. Another key thing I can see on the pitch is that Vini and him have a disconnect. Like there are times when they willfully ignore each other when the other would be the clearest option for a better shot on goal. It's a very worrisome trend. I imagine it is very tense in the locker room. Without a good leader in there (like Nacho and Marcelo) it's hard to get these guys down off their high perch.

I personally think it was a disaster to let Haaland go to Man City instead of going balls deep on the Mbappe train a few summers back. That decision will continue to haunt this team if Mbappe continues to be a problem instead of part of the solution.

Another big issue is that Mbappe has very little ability to inspire this team. Vini can at least get a decent reaction when he tries to rally the team. But Mbappe seems like that awkward distant acquaintance who suddenly became your family member and still doesn't fit in. We have two world class players with virtually the same profile and natural positions who are simply unable to play off each other. Benzema and Vini seems like a match made in heaven compared to this absolute shitshow.

We're not even half a season deep and we're already forming such deep conclusions.

Sports has shown that anything can change completely. Benzema went from Florentino personally begging Lewandowski to replace him, to us feeling disappointed he left.

It's not easy to ask for patience, but I find it incredible that there's a collective abandonment.

I would gladly eat my words if Mbappe comes good on what people see in him. But right now, it's all going very wrong with no solution in sight. A thrashing of Osasuna and Leganes (bold of me to assume, I know) won't undo any of that. Mbappe is supposedly this world class talent who is supposes to catapult Madrid to the next level. Instead, he has been a virtual offsides machine and routine opportunity squanderer. The team is playing like ass. You would think Madrid got guys like Mbappe to elevate the team above others in situations like these. Not the case at all. 1/4th of a season and this team is scrapping by most results by the skin of their teeth on a good day.

If he turns it up in a few weeks and it gets better and better the conclusion will be "see? We were right to be shit heads towards him! This is Madrid! We demand the best and only the best!"

We really operate in a "the customer is always right" way as a fanbase.

Let's see where that comes. I'm not on the hype train for Mbappe. The guy needs to deliver and it's coming due. If this was some mid-tier team where 18th in CL standings is a good place to be, sure Mbappe can take his sweet ass time. Madrid doesn't have the luxury of time. Already 3 games behind the league leaders and it only seems to be getting worse.

Liverpool will be a big test for him. Let's see what this guy produces. I'm fairly certain it'll be more of the same. Maybe a few more nightclub visits during intl break will screw his head back on. Ancelotti isn't the guy making Mbappe forget how to time his run against offside traps or miss a plethora of chances in front of goal. This responsibility lands on the player himself for his performances. He does not get a pass.

We didn't sign him for three months, neither should every game be a gun to the head and prove it type of deal.

Right. Mbappe was brought on to be the long term solution. Pretty demanding of Madridistas to expect him to do his fking job.

He looks a shadow of the player who played the WC final. He has been uninspiring since last season. And he has been atrocious till now. I dont know why we cant call him out for what he is delivering now, if he delivers the goods we would be the happiest as the club has spent a fortune on him and has waited for him to be here for an eternity.

Thewre is a world where you can criticize his current performances without saying he's washed up, we need to accept it and that he's simply a shadow of the player he once was like he stepped on a landmine.

    You get me?
