I watch too the problem is the assumption that some other coach would do better just because. a coach’s job is to win. You want to get rid of a manager doing his job at a historically good rate because you don’t feel entertained and assumed, without any evidence whatsoever that someone else will do better
They lost to Aston Villa. We're basically not doing worse than Bayern all things considered (record/strength of opposition) but hey, it's your opinion.
Are we forgetting that, by all reports, our last manager was the one insisting on making the worst signing in club history, 100 ME on a talented but undisciplined 28-year-old entering the last year of his contract? Do you (or anyone else) know how that actually works in practice? Is it just assurance that the president and sporting director will listen to their requests? Or is it as formal as guaranteeing a certain amount of transfer and wage funds for the manager to control?

Kaka and Shevchenko were both "projects" when they arrived at Milan, nobody was expecting Balon d' Or winners. But please do tell us how Carlo doesn't know how to mold youngsters into Balon d' Or winners. he clearly failed with Vinicius.
Perez needs to do something in January, but I have no idea. I doubt that he can sign Trent. The Saudi club probably will not allow Aymeric Laporte to go in the middle of their season. Ramos has passed his prime. Pepe too.
Imagine thinking players who helped our team to win two doubles CL and League are sub par or garbage, talk about fans being spoilt.....other fans out there can only dream of their players achieving only half of that, if that much, this is some tiresome stuff
I could be absolutely wrong but these seem like fans who started watching not that long ago and are intent on hanging Carlo out to dry, despite just not knowing.......
More like you are denial over the fact that one of our best coaches no longer has a clue on how to steer the ship; it happens.
Hard to keep up with daily Relevo trash. Anyone who would pass on Mbappe is incredibly short sighted. No top club in Europe would have done that despite some here having certain personal feelings towards Mbappe.
It's amazing to me that people think the biggest club in the world will somehow allow a clueless person to run its cashcow division. This is football – you can't win it all, and you certainly will have difficulties winning a prize if the squad you're provided (intentional use: Carlo is a company man) is unbalanced and has significant holes in certain key positions. I expect Carlo to do better over the course of the year (and I hope he will), but as someone who's been following Real Madrid all his life, I'm more than happy with a manager like Carlo! And yes, if the team continues to 'struggle' and it doesn't get much better, then I also know that his position will be looked at. It's just how it works..
While I agree under certain circumstances, it's crazy to me that supporting this club causes so much heartache to people considering how freaking good we are across all sports. There's entire cities that have terrible sports teams and franchises that lose more than they win. Try that on for size.
I wonder how much delegation on tactics Carlo gives to Davide now. For all we know it might be Davide whos struggling with implemetation of tactics in training and Carlo just does in game management. We might be barking up the wrong tree.
The change in coaching is not due a lack of competence or fundational knowledge, the team needs a new impulse. The old team is practically retired now, we have to completely rethink the process.
This is pretty much where I'm at as well. I don't think it's an issue with Carlo specifically, it's more just that the team he was brought in to bring a new voice and a new style of play to, most of those guys are gone. When he came in, a little more freedom to figure things out on the fly was something that worked for the players we had. It suited their attributes better. We don't have anywhere near that same level of creativity in the squad now, telling these guys to figure it out with tools they don't have in their kit is going to lead to some unsatisfactory results. This group looks like they could use a more structured approach, and that's not really Carlo's M.O. It happens. Carlo's cycle was immensely successful, maybe if we're lucky there will be one more wrinkle this season that can reinvigorate this team. He's going to have lasted four seasons as Madrid manager, frankly that's an amazing accomplishment these days. Nothing to feel unhappy about and I'll continue to maintain forever that Madrid fans should kiss the ground he walks, he was the La Décima manager and won two more in addition to that.
Carlos is a fantastic manager, but the team has been knocked down by injuries and the loss of Kroos, who was the engine of the team. The revenge attitude of the LaLiga has put a lot of pressure on the team. The league is one of the worst managed in the world, and is so corrupt that you would expect it to be in a subcontinent of Africa. Seeing the typical errors in a match, I sometimes wonder how the corrupt referees can sleep at night. I am sure that Carlos will be a scapegoat, and we must wield more influence in the league to protect the club's interests.
i credit carlos for bring a lot from our young players see how Vini jr evolved and Valverde - we have not yet replaced our old team players who left that is key problem , fix the squad and give opportunity to carlos and them we can say if he is good or bad
But we said the same about Fran Garcia when he was with Rayo Vallecano. The narrative has also been that "but Mendy is amazing defensively". He made his case this season. He's a blackhole. Its high time that Fran Garcia gets a proper chance.
This season he has been Girona's main creative outlet with his intelligent underlaps. His technique and reading of the game is superior to both Fran and Mendy, easily. In case the eye test hasn't convinced people yet I suggest people look at some of his stats: crossing, getting the ball into the box, switching play with long passes, carrying the ball forward, he's very very good if not elite at all of those. It's about time he gets his Spain call-up.
