I got a flyer in the mail advertising the opener and it said that the $20 seats are sold out.
It'll be my first ever Rapids home game and first ever trip to Invesco. Gotta admit I'm very curious to see how the crowd compares to my old team, the Fusion.

Turning this into a prediction thread, I'll go completely loopy and use the positive local weather prediction to say there will be over 20K on Sat night. Anyone else have a guess?

Well I can account for 2 of those tickets (season as well) although I've yet to find out where my seats will be. So much for 2-day priority mail but apparently they should be waiting for me at will call.

    Oh yeah, I'm predicting 18K.

22K announced, close to 20K show up. Not that I necessarily look for that, but I've seen instances where Invesco looked to have half the paid crowd. I don't see that happening Saturday though. The more the merrier I say!

What's the weather like in Denver? Seems silly to start the season there - San Jose's a more obvious choice, IMO.

Forecast is for mid to high 70s, mostly sunny. Maybe down just below 60 by the end of the match. However, they said the same thing about today, and while the temps are there, parts of the Metro area may get hit with a brief T-shower soon.

Because they'd like to have people show up at the stadium to watch the game.

According to the Rapids official press release, official attendance was 20,800 and change.
