Watching soccer is like watching pornography. There's plenty of action , and I can't take my eyes off it...but when it's over...I wonder why the hell I spent an afternoon doing it! America Choppers...Dad and son fighting over some bike..nice!
Entirely too much. Thats a given. We get anywhere from 2-4 Premier league games per weekend on Canal +. Plus sometimes a monday night game. During Champions League weeks we get two live matches. I pretty much watch all of those, plus any EUfa Cup matches that are on if they are interesting enough. And sometimes even if they arent all that interesting. So, anywhere between 2 and 7 games a week depending on how heavy the football calander is that week.
a.) Not enough. I need to sign up for Dish Network again to get my fix of Brazilian soccer. b.) Other than the Simpsons on re-reun, I would have to say Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Absolutely the funniest thing on TV.
A) Depending on the time of year and what leagues are in action, I'd say I average 6 to 8 matches a week. Now that I have the Time Warner DVR and can store material more easily (without fussing with the VCR and tapes), I'm seeing an increase. Thank heavens it can "only" hold 35 hours or so of programming. B) What's this got to do with question A? I guess it's "Law & Order." The original one. When I watch it, it's when I run across a syndicated airing. Frankly, I don't check out new programs anymore. Otherwise, my non-futbol viewing is some news and maybe a movie on DVD or on Turner Classic. Old ones.
A) Because it would be too easy to just sit in front of the television all day, I limit myself to maybe 1 or 2 games a week, plus the Fox Sports World Report and Sky Sports News when I can catch it. During the important tournaments, though, it's a different story. I also manage to follow a game or two a week at work. B) Right now, it's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The Sopranos and The Wire are both brilliant, but they're between seasons. And I hate to admit it, but I really got sucked into Survivor this year.
a) at least 5, but it usually depends on if my favorite teams are on. I usually watch all Arsenal games, plus two or three Mexican games. I will have Globo for the next Brazilian championship, so I will be able to watch Santos games. And now that I have Gol TV, Azteca America and Fox Sports en Espanol, there's a lot more games to choose from each weekend. b) Rich Girls
A) About 4 at this time of year. Mostly Serie A and whatever I can catch on FSW. B) Any show that has Paris Hilton. I love to watch train wrecks.
First question: 0-1 (on TV) + going to the stadium. Second question: Die Harald Schmidt Show, which just got cancelled. (see the German off-topic thread on the Germany board.) Now i have no current fav TV show anymore.
1-not enough! maybe 3 if i'm lucky - that shoudl change for the better when i move to amsterdam in 2 weeks 2-scrubs
1. Probably 1-2 per week, almost always Premiership games on FSW. Usually more during FA Cup weekends because they usually show more games. 2. Family Guy re-runs.
I would declare sitcoms dead if not for this piece of brilliance. Bless you NBC, for keeping it in such a cushy timeslot. Also, "Malcolm In The Middle" has gone downhill recently but "Arrested Development" has picked up the slack. It can't be mere coincidence that the best sitcoms don't have laugh tracks, can it? I don't watch much TV any more though, what with my attempt to have some sort of a social life and losing free cable.
1- it depends. at the time of year when the wizards are just starting up and ManU is finishing up (and vice-versa), it can get pretty intense, sometimes up to about 6 or 7 a week. usually though, no more than 3 or 4. 2 - Family Guy. Hands Down.
Soccer on TV: Dutch, Serie A, Bundesliga, MLS, and EPL when West Ham goes back up. Without West Ham United, the epl bores me. TV: Scrubs is my fave, but I like a few others. I need to hit the scrubby thread. Seinfeld reruns work. Malcolm has sucked this season.
1) 1 0r 2games a week. but if lucky three. 2) anything good on mtv, and then seinfeld and then drew carey show and the simpsons, and of course----whosse line is it anyway?
#1) My el-Ceapo roomates + school = no cable.... So I go to Mexican restaurants + Euro pubs to see 1-3 games, to see what I can. I also make a big effort to see Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, I also dig MLS, Serie A, EPL. #2) Seinfeld reruns, Family Guy reruns, and of course Simpsons... Since I don't have cable, I also get a lot of milleage from my Sandford and Son DVDs.... (dummy) ha!
At work on saturday I usually watch like 3. Mexican League mostly sometimes they throw in one from Argentina or Brazil on Telefutura/Gala/Tele/Univ..... Then At home I catch bits and pieces of EPL when I can. And i try to pop in a WNT game tape every now and then. My favorite TV show is Will and Grace... sometimes its sucks so i flip over to the History Channel.
