How long will it take until someone comes out with the honest answer "I looked at the table and saw that Arsenal were top, from then on I was hooked onto the bandwagon"?

Or "George Graham's boring football was just the sort I like".

Sod them, I haven't met a single gloryhunter in my life who had any form of personality or appealing quality. At least stuff like this makes it easy to identify the dull people in the world.

I suppose to be fair 'they' have always been a well supported club, even if they do possess a few glory hunters. Our fanbase is just a large as theirs anyhow. :)

Maybe 10 years ago....... certainly not since Arsene came and conquered. If he goes and we lose our stars, then yes, if I'm honest I do think you could be a bigger club. Thats why it was so important to keep Wenger.

All this 'big club/little club' stuff. You see an EPL club like Wimbledon getting bought for £30m and what was that money for? They didn't have a ground, a glamorous name, or any stars (Holdsworth, Perry, Thatcher, Sullivan...er, some of those names are familiar). And now the club has moved, changed names, and is worth about £100,000.

If Wenger hadn't taken over, the story would be very different indeed. His ability to motivate and inspire players is seemngly limitless, Arse fans on the main not minding that not enough youngsters are coming through from the academy cos he can spot a diamond for £100,000 and sell it for£££'s.

Take away the CL and there isn't much economically seperating Spurs and Arse (until the new 'Emirates' (ahahaha) stadium is built anyway.)

I'm trying to work out what the point of my post is/was, but I've forgotten.

Henry is an arrogant prick isn't he? Scores a penalty (oooh) against some joke Greek team and he puffs himself up like a peacock and tries to stare down a camera like he just scored a Weah-style work of genius. He's a good player, but a knob.

Nope, still can't remember why I posted this.

Hmmmm, tell you what - next time that the England U21's, U19's and U17's play - have a look to see how many play for Arsenal. You might be surprised. Our acadamy is geting better and better. The simple fact is that when Wenger took over the players were not good enough, so he has had to go abroad. Now that we have one of the best scouting systems in the UK and the best training centre, we are producing some of the most talented youngsters. In 10 years time a fair few of the first team will be English.

Support wise and finance wise, Arsenal and Spurs were virtually neck and neck until Wenger came. It's because of Arsenal's success under Wenger that they now have £100 million + turnovers and we don't! But IMO Arsenal are ahead of us because their ownership was more ambitious. Dein pinpointed Wenger as the ideal Arsenal manager, yet Sug*r (it seemed to me anyhow) didn't seem to care about bettering the team (we spent over £80 million on transfers under him, yet few players of quality came to us!).

A lot fewer than Spurs. For example, Tottenham have 5 in the current England U17 group who are unbeaten in over a year and Arsenal have only 1.

3 of the Tottenham players are in the latest England U17 squad, and the other 2 who were in the last squad and usually start in the first XI (Joe Lewis and David Button) are only out as they are injured. Arsenal's only player in this group is Fabrice Muamba.

    Check for yourself:

    http://www.thefa.com/Templates/Gene...9-B8FA-7E11D17D1F29}&NRCACHEHINT=Guest#Muamba

At U-19, which is a smaller group, Tottenham have 1 and Arsenal have 0.

    http://www.thefa.com/England/U19s/Players/

In the current U-21 squad Arsenal currently have 2 to Tottenham's 1. Although this is a temporary thing as Tottenham are continuing to buy more young English players and their former U-21s like Ledley King and Gardner have moved to the seniors. To be fair Arsenal have had 3 in the U-21s this year when Hoyte is fit but in the 2-3 years before that they only had Pennant in the entire squad.

Yeah but they all do that. Have you seen how mental Ruud V.Nistleroy goes after a penalty. Its comical. In fact the only striker that springs to mind that doesnt get a bit over excited is Shearer - but then thats hardly supprising :)

And I think its a little harsh to call Pathanikiwhatsitos a joke. They ARE in the champions league after all, which is no mean feat

RvN's reaction after he scores a penalty? Screw that, how about when he tries to win one? Makes Klinsmann look shy and retiring around the penalty box. Watching RvN hurl himself around our box (innuendo's will not be tolerated.) last season was by parts enraging and hilarious. Thankfully Mike Riley wasn't reffing. What a prick of a ref!

And the Greek league is a joke! C'mon, everyone knows that!

    LOL

Spurs fans aren't violent, this is more of a direct wish from me towards you personally, which I knew would have you whining :D But even then I would forgive the odd bit of minor aggression in response to the racism and anti-semitism I've witnessed over the years from Arsenal scum such as yourself. They want to dish it out, but they don't want to take anything in return.

The influx of whiny Arsenal fans can get gone now. This thread wasn't an invitation for your spineless comments in this forum. It does amuse me though that you can come in here mentioning keeping people in check, when you happily cultivate an attitude of arrogance and hostility over in the Arse forum and don't even blink when those muppets, including yourself, then stroll into here and other forums to cause trouble.

Do you think after the match they should keep the Arsenal supporters in the stadium for 15/20 minutes because it can get crazy outside the South Stand.

I don't need keeping in check. I do post in the Arsenal forum, but I'm not exactly inflammatory.
