Apparently 137 is not suitable for children. I saw this warning at ticketmaster: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0...rtistid=805928&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11 I don't recall ever seeing this warning before. Has it been there long?
It was put up in preparation for the August 21st match. We've requested that warning for three years now, who knew it only took Freddy Adu to get it in place. Don't worry, after the meeting with Ryan Smith it'll be completely family friendly.
Section 137 has been the "supporters" section since day 1. I don't know if its ever been "family friendly," but I don't think it is unfriendly either. Zak has done a great job this year of focusing everone in the section on what we're their for: to support the team and have fun. But to the uninitiated the section could be seen as a be a bit rowdy. The disclaimer for Aug 21 was probably a go idea. But as has always been the case, anyone who wants to make noise, have fun and support the Crew is welcome.
Thats the Crew front office strategy. Promise you the world and then hope that you don't say a single cuss word on the 21st. What everyone fails to realize is, most fans or "fans" rather coming on the 21st are only there to see Freddy Adu. It's like when the women's national team comes to town. Sure people will come to see the game, they want to see the freak show, however it'll be horribly unimpressive, so they'll not come back. That's the thing that the people sitting at Black & Gold fail to realize, the reason why people aren't coming back, isn't how many time the word fvck comes out of my mouth, it's the fact that we are playing very, very, very, very poorly.
I agree. If you don't put a product worth buying, who wants to buy it? I would get a good laugh if after all this hype Freddy Adu doesn't get off the bench at all.
I "borrowed" one of the "come see Freddy Adu play on the 21st" signs that the Crew put up in the parking lot a couple weeks back. I plan on holding it up when the announce the starting line up and he's riding the pine.
you an me both. money is very tight right now and since the team is ********.....i would take the cash and watch the game on TV and drink cheaper beer at my place rather than pay 6 bucks a beer plus 7 bucks for parking plus food that i will probably eat during the game. I figure if i sell the ticket for 50 bucks i will be making 100 on the day for i usually spend at least 50 a game on drink and food.
137's pretty much been rowdy since day 1. There's been a warning on ticketmaster for a while, but that was for 136. I think they just got around to fixing it.
Will young Freddy be allowed to play only during the half in which the scum attack the south goal, so as to spare his tender ears?
funny, they didnt tell that to the family whose father kindly informed me that "hey, watch your language, this is family night, jackass" before eventually relocated his wife and kids to another section. granted, they were sitting in 136, but thier seats were right next to the aisle with 137. morons.
