He came to us with a severe hamstring pull, and has yet to start a game. However...he has come on in the second half several times, scoring two goals! His most recent goal was a real cracker, a 91st-minute classic that beat Milwaukee 2-1. Welton received a header pass from Roger Levesque while sanwiched between two defenders. He managed in one fluid move to balance the ball, set it at his right foot, and blast one past the sprawling Milwaukee keeper. Who knows how good he'll be when he's healthy enough to start?!? Seattle's Supporters voted him "Man of the Match" for his game-winner. LINK: http://seattlepitch.tripod.com/matches/2004/may28.html
Uh, judging by our crap attendances so far this season, the answer is no. Maybe if Ronaldinho was playing for us it might make a difference at the turnstiles
Who's Ronaldinho? I highly doubt any casual fan in Seattle would even care if we had all of Barça playing as the Seattle Sounders. A-League is A-League, and no one here cares.
