I live in Bergen, and I'm either going to order DirectTV or digital cable. How was the shootout package on Digital cable last year, and what does it seem to be this year.
If you're in Bergen County expect Comcast cable. It's great that they have YES network, but sucks that there's no FOX sports (FSNY or FoxWorld), even on Digital. I'd switch to the dish, but my landlord won't allow it on the roof. Did anyone have issues with their dish during the blizzard?
Re: Re: How is digital cable in New Jersey? It worked liked a champ, no disruptions at all. The only time it cuts out is during very heavy thunder storms and it's usually for short periods of time.
I am in Morris Co, I have Direct TV works like a charm and i get YES network as well plus all the fox networks, FSW, shootout package. Make sure you ask for them when you call. You also get PPV games and PPV movies, sometimes they run specials for $ 1.99.
Re: Re: Re: How is digital cable in New Jersey? I had no problems over the blizzard, but I suffered a thunderstorm distruption from the 75th-80th minutes of the USA-Portugal game last year.
Direct TV is the way to go. Get the Tivo/DirectTV box if you can when you sign up. I got mine for free.
If you have Cablevision, they're pretty good. No YES, but it's a decent deal with their iO digitial TV, plus basic cable, plus the Optimum Online cable modem. Just the basic packages have enough for my soccer fix: FSW is in there, and FSNY and MSG provide quality Metro coverage. No YES, GolTV or MLS shoot out- and I don't know about ESPN Deportes when it goes to a 24 hour format.
RCN i'm in the new brunswick area now and i got RCN digital. get YES, FSW, FSWE, A FEW ESPNs, it's great
